Located in the village of Bethesda and on the doorstep of Eryri - Snowdonia National Park, sits this charming two-bedroom property. Originally a quarry workers house, it has been converted into a bright, contemporary home and is an ideal base for a couple or a small family wanting relaxation, outdoor activity, and nearby amenities. Located within walking distance of Zip World zip lines and with walking from the door into the Carneddau mountains.

Step into the cheerful lounge with its stylish sofa and armchair, wood flooring, and splash of bold colour on the wall. Flooded by natural light, it’s a comfortable space to sit and chat and there’s even a realistic looking gas woodburner style stove to keep things snug on chillier nights. Homely extras include potted plants, an elegant mirror, and ambient lighting. When mealtime beckons, you’ll find plenty of appliances in the kitchen to create a delicious dinner then serve it at the table with seating for four people. You’ll want to sit and linger over a meal while soaking up the glorious mountain views through the window. As the evening draws to an end, head upstairs to the two bedrooms and choose between a lovely king-size and a single bed. There’s also a thoroughly modern bathroom on this floor. Back on ground level, a pretty garden dotted with plants and trees is the perfect spot for a quiet coffee. Sit at the outdoor table and listen to the birdsong while gazing at the incredible mountain views.

Hikers can enjoy lake and valley walks straight from the door with Ogwen Valley and Eryri - Snowdonia National Park right on your doorstep. Adventure lovers will also love Zip World (0.5 miles) where those with a head for heights can spend an afternoon flying over the Penrhyn Quarry on a zip line. Llanberis for ascents of Yr Wyddfa- Snowdon is just a short drive away.  Also worth a visit is Penrhyn Castle (5 miles). Explore inside this striking 19th-century castle, view the fine art collection, and admire the views of Snowdonia from the extensive gardens.

We had a lovely stay at Uwch Ogwen. The property is very nicely decorated & furnished. The bed was comfy, & the towels big & fluffy, something I always hope for when staying in a rental. The garden was lovely although the weather didnt allow us to enjoy it. There was a dedicated parking space behind the property too. There was a supermarket a fewRead more minutes drive away, or a 5-10 minute walk. Plenty of wonderful scenery nearby to enjoy either walking or by car. Hide

We loved our stay here. Great location to explore Snowdonia (excellent hikes just 5mins drive away) as well as Anglesey and the coast towns. Well-equipped kitchen, very comfy beds, excellent wifi around the house. Host was very responsive and takes very good care of the place!

We had a very comfortable stay in the cottage, great location and nice and quiet at night. Beautiful large bathroom with a big powerful shower when a separate bath. Very comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen and utility room. We would recommend and will stay again.

The cottage met and, indeed ,exceeded all our expectations. It is in an ideal location to get to the mountains and the seaside. Zip World and some lovely walks were available straight from the door. It had all the amenities we could possibly have wanted and we found it very comfortable and spacious for our needs (two of us). Even the Eryri weaRead morether was very good during our two week stay so we were very glad that we were able to enjoy the beautiful garden. We only had one day of relentless rain, and were more than happy to stay in the cottage, resting our aching legs after a particularly strenuous hike and watching TV and reading. As hikers, we particularly appreciated having the utility room with washer, dryer etc and the bathroom was fantastic with a great shower, bath and lots of space. We loved staying there and would definitely stay again. Hide

The cottage was super clean, beautiful luxurious bathroom and is in a lovely location, close to a pretty waterfall and a few min drive from magnificent lakes and mountains. We had a small problem with the heating which was sorted very quickly and efficiently by the hosts. Thank you for a lovely stay and would highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely comfortable cottage. Plenty of space for 3 people. Good access to Snowdonia and the coast and stunning walks nearby.
