This room flows into the lounge, which is centred around another wood burner. On this floor there’s also a large work space and a shower room with a WC. A spiral staircase takes you to the first floor, where you’ll find a large landing leading to a shower room and the studio lounge – which has comfy seats, another wood burner and floor-to-ceiling mountain views. Three bedrooms (two with en-suites) are on this floor, as well as another shower room and a bathroom, while the fourth bedroom is on the second floor, again reached by a spiral staircase, and with views of Cadair Idris. For spending time in the fresh air, choose from three patio areas with outdoor furniture, and admire the sheep grazing the fields in front of the house.
Set in peaceful countryside perfect for exploring on foot or by bike, the house is just a mile from Barmouth and its shops, pubs, restaurants and picturesque harbour. Try some water sports, hire a stand-up paddleboard, spend a day on the beach or book a boat trip (watch out for dolphins!). If you feel like venturing further, you’re just 12 miles from Harlech Castle, a magnificent world heritage site, and 9.5 miles from Dolgellau, which has a range of shops, restaurants, markets and pubs.
