Escape to this bright and cheerful holiday lodge set among the beautifully-landscaped grounds and historic ruins of Pleasant Valley’s Heritage Park. An ideal retreat for four people sleeping over two bedrooms, this spacious lodge is the perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends in search of some peace and tranquillity in the heart of Pembrokeshire countryside. Spend a glorious day strolling one of Tenby’s beaches or exploring the lively streets of Saundersfoot, and in the evening come home to dine alfresco and sip a glass of wine on the lodge’s raised deck.

Step inside and you’ll find a warm and welcoming open-plan living area, complete with a smart kitchen area and stylish dining area. Slip into a sofa and take a moment to make yourself at home before heading to the smart kitchen area to whip up something tasty for your loved ones. Get everyone together to eat at the dining table, or make your way outside to dine alfresco on the lodge’s lovely raised deck. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the stars come out, or relax in front of the TV in the living area. At the end of the day, there are two thoughtfully-decorated bedrooms to choose from.

History buffs will adore spending an afternoon exploring 12th century Carew Castle (7.5 miles), which was built on the remains of an Iron Age fort. Alternatively, head into Tenby (5.5 miles) to stroll along the beach, browse the artworks at the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, or hop on a boat to visit Caldey Island - a peaceful oasis that is run by a community of Cistercian monks. We had a lovely time at Garnwen Lodge the Lodge was lovely and very comfortable. The site was one of the best we have been to. The gardening team were busy all week it is immaculate. We definitely will be returning hopefully next year.

Initially very pleased, we found the kitchen not very well equipped. Again thought was clean until one drops something on the bedroom floor and soon realised the places ie. Under bed etc was quite dirty. The en-suite toilet seat was loose. We felt the property was lovely but the cleaners need to be more thorough.

Overall a very positive stay. Very clean. Warm. Would have been useful to have a radio / stereo as an addition. TV signal was variable and we did not get a good signal on the last day of our stay. Sofa / bed matrass a bit saggy and ideally should be replaced. Guest info was limited - be good to enhance with more details of local amenities andRead more walks. Provide a few maps? Provide guide / info on how TV works. Hide
