Property code: OC-BOW300

A completely unique two-storey property with an open-plan ground floor, courtyard garden and sea views from its bedroom balcony. It is a quirky romantic bolthole for dog-owning couples eager to explore the West Wales coast, with the harbour towns of New Quay and Aberaeron both within 5 miles.

This beautifully converted silo has been laid out to make the most of the space available, its contemporary furnishings wrapped around one another to create a cosy, welcoming environment. The ground floor’s open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner is light, airy and has everything you’ll need for romantic meals or snuggly film nights. A double bedroom complete with an imaginative en-suite dominates the first floor, with fantastic sea views from its balcony. Dine alfresco in the courtyard garden or admire the rural views from the balcony with refreshment in hand after a long soak in the hot tub.

The Pembrokeshire Coast is littered with attractive beaches, villages and harbour towns beloved by water sports lovers, seafarers and sandcastle builders. Aberaeron ( 2 miles) and New Quay (5 miles) are bursting with dog- and couple-friendly cafes and pubs, with both linked by the Wales Coast Path. This popular route is a great way to explore the coast, so why not explore different sections during your stay? Farther inland, the elegant Georgian villa at Llanerchaeron (3 miles), designed by architect John Nash in the late 1700s, comes complete with a walled garden, farmyard lake and wild parkland made for long dog walks before heading home for guilt-free dinner.

Great week staying in the silo - lucky to have lots of sunshine. Owner friendly and great location for coastal walks. Having Morrisons just a fields walk away was handy. Loved the hot tub too. Lots of good pubs and restaurants a short drive away.

Unique and comfortable place to stay. The location is excellent with the local supermarket only 5 mins walk away. The Red Lion pub is also very closeby and provides good food and drink. The property provides a wonderful hot tub plus BBQ facilities. The owners are nice and friendly and offered advice on local walks. The accommodation provides excellRead moreent self catering facilities, hot shower, free WIFI and smart TV. The stairs to bedroom are a little steep but that's part of the unique design. There is adequate heating should the weather not be so good and fans in case of a hot spell. Very enjoyable stay would recommend. Hide

Lovely property, very quiet location perfect to relax. The hot tub was ready for our arrival which was great. Couldn't find the hairdryer but a quick text to the owner and they sorted one of theirs for me to borrow as the previous people had pinched the original one! Lovely welcome pack of cakes and Welsh cakes and a little bottle of milk. The bed Read morewas comfy and there are plenty of blankets as it does get chilly at night. It does get super warm when the sun is out but there are plenty of fans and once you open the doors and windows it soon cools down. Was great to have an oven and microwave and a big fridge freezer so we could have meals in rather then eat out all the time. The nearest big supermarket is morrisons which is 30 mins away by car in Aberystwyth however there is a nisa just a 5 minute walk across the horse field which had a really good selection of stuff. Abaeraron is a 2 mile walk, it's a nice walk, you can't really walk down the main a437 as there's no path however if you follow the path as far as you can then take a right through the houses there's a path all the way into town, it's not for the faint hearted lol it is a very steep slope for around half a mile. New quay is a 10 minute drive away, it's very small but very pretty. The owners are very welcoming and the views from the silo balcony are beautiful with just the horses as neighbours. Considering its on a working livery farm the noise of tractors didn't bother us at all and it wasn't all day every day either. Hide

The property is lovely, the owner very friendly. Even though the property is adjacent to the other cottages and farmhouse, theyve designed it to be very private. Staircase is very steep and narrow though so anyone with mobility issues may find this a problem.

Gorgeous stay, we loved our 5 day break at the silo with our dog. The working farm has lovely animals, sea views & beautiful scenery. You wouldnt believe its a working farm, the noise isnt noticeable. The hot tub is private which is great. 10 minutes drive either way to the nearby coastal towns. Lovely finishing touches such as the wine and cakes. We felt very welcomed and very relaxed. When we got to the farm we had a bit of trouble locating the silo, we went down a track to the left which led nowhere and I ended up getting out of the car and wandering about to find it. Generally very clean but the sofa cushions had not been vacuumed inbeRead moretween. There were nuts and fluff down there. Kitchen well equipped. There is also a cable or something running down the outside of the silo that bangs against it in the night and did wake us. You can tell its a labour of love and we fell in love with it too. I was sad to leave Hide

The location even though very close to the farm was very private and we were not disturbed. The silo was very well equipped and roomy for a small building, fans were provided as it was hot, there was a lovely view of the sea and the hot tub was the added bit of luxury that made our stay truly enjoyable.
