A family-friendly cottage set on a small holding in the heart of the dark skies area of the Cambrian Mountains. Within 0.5 miles of Tregaron, the cottage offers spacious living areas, versatile bedrooms and a large enclosed patio complete with a hot tub, fire pit and a pizza oven - perfect for small groups craving peace, quiet and access to a wealth of activities.

Each room in this modern two-storey cottage has a unique character and feel all of its own, beautifully complementing the diverse wildlife living amongst the surrounding mountains that tumble down towards the Brenig River. Natural light flows throughout the lounge/diner, a fresh and inviting area with views over the surrounding landscape and served by a modern kitchen next door. Both of the cottage’s super-king bedrooms enjoy magnificent views of the area and can be converted into twin bedrooms upon request. A family bathroom stands nearby and there’s even a cwtsh where youngsters or weary parents can have some time to themselves. Watch red kites soaring from the comfort of the large patio area, a smart enclosed space ideal for alfresco brunches or BBQ suppers after a soak in the hot tub.

Enjoy an authentic taste of Welsh culture in and around the historic market town of Tregaron (0.5 miles) and take in the beauty of the area on the trails and paths at the Cors Caron Nature Reserve (1.5 miles). Tregaron marks the starting point of the steep, hairpin-laden Devil’s Staircase Pass, an old drover’s track that will challenge anyone navigating it in an effort to reach Abergwesyn (16.5 miles).

A perfect relaxing week in beautiful surroundings. Lambs are very entertaining, as was watching the horse nearby. Amazing watching the kites flying so close in their natural habitat. Food at Y Talbort was outstanding and well worth visiting, but we spent most of our time using the pizza oven and BBQ, watching the wildlife. Thoroughly enjoyed using Read morethe hot tub. Aberaeron was very pretty and New Quay was beautiful - recommend a boat trip to see the dolphins, which was stunning and a walk along the beach at low tide.
