Surrounded by impressive gardens and countryside is this light and spacious one-bedroom cottage in the Clywedog valley. Sitting at the foot of a scenic mountain road in the Cambrian Mountains, it makes the perfect country getaway for keen walkers, with a wealth of walks to choose from. It’s also close to attractions and amenities in the historic town of Llanidloes.

The cottage has been thoughtfully fitted throughout with luxurious, modern touches. The beautiful, light living room includes a dining area, a Smart TV, an Optiflame wood burner, French doors out to the garden and stunning views across the valley. The contemporary kitchen next door is light and airy with outdoors access too. The super-king (or twin) bedroom is stunning designed in muted colours. It also has access to the patio, and there’s a gorgeous shower room with a rainfall shower for you to use. You can soak up the views and the sunshine from the large patio, with dining furniture and sunbeds, sitting among the incredible landscaped garden, which has beautiful planting, a pretty pond and stream, and a BBQ for use in the summer months.

The property is surrounded by stunning scenery and country walks with over 30 picture-perfect walking trails of varying lengths nearby. Wander along the woodland trails in Hafren Fforest (8 miles away), take a picnic to enjoy at one of the picturesque viewpoints at Llyn Clywedog (5.5 miles away) and visit the historic remains of the Bryntail Lead Mine buildings (3.5 miles) at the southern end of the reservoir. A must-see for wildlife lovers is Glaslyn Nature Reserve (12 miles) with its stunning moorland flowers. For shops, pubs, and cafes pop into Llanidloes, with amenities from just under 650 metres from the property.

This is a thoroughly delightful property which is beautifully furnished It has a great view out over the gorgeous garden and very active bird life. The property is also supplied with a complete range of consumables and a beautiful welcome pack. The host was perfect too!. We would recommend this to anyone.

Lovely spotless clean accommodation. Ideal position for touring Powys. Had the added attraction of seeing different birds feeding from the bird feeders in the garden. It was so relaxing to see so many different birds. Hope to visit again.

What a wonderful cottage, perfect in every way. Helen and Phil were lovely hosts and very welcoming. The property was 1st class everything you could want or need had been provided and lovely hosts. What I did not agree with is your booking fee should be made clear before you go to pay. I understand the booking fee but when I see a price I like it to be everything and not have hidden fees added after deciding on property

The most wonderful host and a talented artist. The place is just perfect, so pretty with everything you need. The garden would make Monty jealous! We couldn't get enough, and everyday we spotted a new plant, bird or creature. It's been a lovely break, sad to leave after lots of exploring Mid Wales. Thank you.

A perfect week. Lovely hospitality with Helen and Phil. A beautiful apartment but we loved the patio and constantly admired the 'show' garden. Feeding the birds really rewarding. Played golf at St Idloes 9 hole course. Watched the Ospreys and had many lovely walks. Thank you we will be back.

Situated in a beautiful part of Wales Nyth Bryn Haul in Llanidloes is a newly built accommodation and easily accessible. Nyth Bryn Haul (sleeps 2) is very welcoming: light and airy, fully equipped, very clean, well furnished, with private parking and a beautiful garden with a lovely pond, terrace area (south facing, a real sun trap) and great viewRead mores. Everything has been done to a very high standard! The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Just across the road is a woodland for nice walks (after dinner calorie burner). It is only a 5 minute walk to the town centre and a 5 minute drive to the supermarket. A petrol station is just "down the road". Would we recommend Nyth Bryn Haul to anyone? Yes, we would! Would we like to visit Nyth Bryn Haul again? YES, definately! Hide

Beautifully situated lodge with large picture windows overlooking countryside yet only a few minutes walk from the ancient market town of Llanidloes. Very clean, well equipped, comfortable and cosy for our winter stay. Warmest of welcomes. Will definitely return.
