Return to the comfort of this inviting cottage in Mumbles after your days out exploring the beautiful Gower Peninsula. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom holiday home sits close to the seafront and the castle in Mumbles and is also well placed for stepping out to enjoy the many independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants of the area. Just 4.5 miles from the bustling centre of Swansea, the Welsh retreat also comes with a courtyard garden where you can relax on summer afternoons.
Make your way into the cottage and head through to the lounge to put your feet up for a spell. TV, read a few pages of your book and decide where to head off to tomorrow for the next adventure. Wander through to the stylish kitchen/diner, with its characterful feature fireplace and bread oven, to whip up tasty meals for your party and call everyone to gather round the table. At the end of each exciting day, climb the stairs to discover two king-size bedrooms on the first floor. One of these has zip-and-link beds that can also be arranged as twins if discussed in advance. The family bathroom can be found down a few steps. Take a cup of tea out into the fresh air of the courtyard garden whenever the weather permits. There is parking for one car with this cottage.
Plan day trips out into the Gower to follow footpaths through scenic countryside and to spend time on picturesque beaches. Langland Bay, 1 mile away, and Caswell Bay, 1.5 miles from the cottage, are both beautiful, golden stretches where you can swim, surf and picnic on the sand. Oxwich Bay, 10 miles away, tends to be quieter and is another great beach on which to spend the day.
