A large, family-friendly property right in the heart of the Llyn Peninsula AONB, just 5 miles from Abersoch. Surrounded by a range of natural and historical attractions, this pet-friendly property features a spacious kitchen, five beautifully-presented bedrooms and a conservatory enjoying far-reaching views towards Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth), and Cilan Point.

Hidden from the village of Botwnnog down a private lane, and with bright and welcoming areas throughout, this contemporary-styled, two storey property, is ideal for large gatherings, with plenty of room for guests to find privacy and sociable spaces both indoors and outside. The corner sofa in the living room is a popular place to relax, while the kitchen/diner is big enough for lazy breakfasts or guilt-free suppers at the day’s end when all anyone craves is good food in good company. The views from the conservatory have to be seen to be believed, but this is also a place to grab a quiet hour with a book or podcast. The nearby utility room will come in handy when outdoor kit needs sorting, and there is plenty of storage space, not to mention en-suite facilities, in the double bedroom, which completes the ground floor. There are four welcoming bedrooms on the first floor: a double bedroom, a single bedroom and two super-king bedrooms, one of which can be converted to a twin bedroom. The play area in the partially-enclosed garden is a big hit with youngsters, who can burn off steam while the adults gather around the BBQ.

There’s so much to see and do in the Llyn Peninsula, with quaint villages like Sam Mellteyrn (2 miles) and historic attractions including the gardens at Plas yn Rhiw (4 miles) well worth a wander around. Pick up the Llyn Coastal Path from Abersoch or experience stunning shorelines including Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth), Llanbedrog Beach and Porth Towyn (all within 7 miles).

Tir Du was in a beautiful location and the cottage a welcome home from home for our large family. Being situated centrally in the picturesque Llyn peninsula enabled easy access to the many lovely beaches, walks, pubs and cafs. Particular highlights were a beach walk at Nefyn including the Ty Coch pub. Also, Llanbedrog beach was beautiful, and AberdRead morearon a dramatic location. Abersoch was a lovely town with many nice places to eat and drink. Further afield, Ffestiniog railway is a must and Caernarfon Castle well worth a visit. Thank you. Hide

The house is large, spacious and has plenty of breathing space. It likes to be lived in.lt is approached along a track passing a small secondary school. It is very quiet and there few, if any, disturbances around. If you relish peace and quiet this place is ideal. Lovely views across to the Abersoch area. A big kitchen, a downstairs en- suite beRead moredroom and four beds upstairs with a shower room adjacent. Downstairs loo and well - equipped utility. We were 6. Two grandparents and our son, daughter - in - law and two grandsons (9 and 12). They took over upstairs. The conservatory was very comfortable to retreat to. It got quite hot but cool for those up early to watch the sun come up! Access to places of interest was fairly easy. Having reaquanted ourselves with the aera ( last visit to Abersoch around 10 years ago) we visited The Porth Tocyn Hotel, Abersoch, Pwllheli, the Art Gallery at Llanbedrog and a must, Aberdaron - a lovely quaint spot with 12th century church and references to poet, R. S. Thomas. The house is recommended. Hide

A fantastic home which was ideal for our 4 generations family break. The house was large, comfortable and spotless and allowed everyone to enjoy both family time or their own space. The owner was very knowledgeable about the area and responded quickly to any questions we had. She was able to provide course fishing locations and nearby eateries. Read more We had a lovely lunch at Gwesty Ty Newydd both the food and service were excellent and being able to watch the sea whilst eating was brilliant. If possible I would recommend taking some comfortable garden chairs for any older family members or just for sitting outside in the sun. We did (as wed read previous reviews with this suggestion) and our whole party used them. A brilliant enjoyable experience and would recommend it and Id definitely give it a 5 star review Hide

The house is very spacious and in a wonderfully quiet location. (We stayed during the school summer holidays, with younger family members, who really enjoyed the play equipment on site). It was convenient to visit several beaches and a good base to explore the Llyn Peninsula.
