Retaining original features and furnished in a contemporary style, this converted farm building is in a pretty courtyard setting. With child-friendly outdoor areas and a playing field right across the road, it’s perfect for a family or two couples to share, and close to some of the Pembrokeshire coast’s most beautiful beaches.
Exposed beams, whitewashed stone walls, wood flooring and a creamy colour palette set the scene for a relaxing stay at this two-bedroom holiday abode. A former farm building, it’s been lovingly restored and refurbished to offer all the comforts of home, with an open-plan living space that includes a contemporary kitchen, dining suite and comfortable seating area where you can enjoy time together. From here there’s access to two double bedrooms, each with a TV and fire stick and en-suite facilities. Upstairs, there’s an attic-style bedroom with a single bed and an optional pull-out bed – with low headroom, this room overlooks the lounge and is suitable for children only. To enjoy the countryside setting fully, take a seat on the patio where pretty planting, and paved and gravelled areas, complement the courtyard layout of the group of cottages here. A shared garden with lawn, BBQ area and play equipment provides for more al fresco fun, while the large public recreation area across the road is good for ball games and a longer leg-stretch.
Discover the region’s history with trips to the county town of Haverfordwest – less than 1 mile – and Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, 17 miles away. Around 5 miles east of your holiday home, Broad Haven and Little Haven sit on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park; with huge sandy beaches and rock pools, they’re great for water sports and walks along the coastal path. Another must-see is the village of Solva (13 miles), where you’ll find a sheltered harbour and bustling high street full of cafes, craft shops and galleries.
