Two dogs are welcome to join guests at this traditional cottage, which sits at the foot of the Carneddau mountains 4 miles from the Menai Strait. Boasting an open-plan kitchen/diner and large lawned garden, it is ideal for families or small groups keen to explore the North Wales coast and Snowdonia National Park.

Original features blend seamlessly with this two storey cottage’s contemporary furnishings, creating a warm and welcoming feel throughout the year. The wood burner in the lounge is set within an impressive stone fireplace, while there are wonderful views aplenty to enjoy from the comfort of the country-style kitchen. There are also two well-appointed double bedrooms on the ground floor, along with a modern shower room, while a bunk bedroom, ideal for youngsters, dominates the first floor. The outside space is split between a gravel area with space for relaxing morning coffees and BBQ, along with a large lawned area with stunning views of the Menai Strait and Isle of Anglesey.

The cottage’s close proximity to the Menai Strait makes day trips to the beaches on the Isle of Anglesey or the mountains of Snowdonia National Park as easy as a journey across the Menai Bridge. History lovers will get a big kick out of a trip around Penrhyn Castle and Caernarfon Castle (both within 13 miles) and there scenic walks aplenty in and around the Ogwen Valley (10 miles). We used the cottage 2 nights on our road trip through the UK. We climbed Snowdon which was lovely. The cottage is very well equipped and fulfilled all our needs.

We had a quiet, calm and peaceful stay in this beautiful cottage. We loved the amazing river and noisy sheep. Driving through the hills was just magical and looking over the sea was just as amazing. We really enjoyed flying our kites in the lovely colourful garden and relaxing on the picnic table. The cottage kept us nice and warm and well sheltereRead mored from the rain and windy weather. The rooms are in great condition and we loved watching beautiful animals like hares hop through the fields. We really really enjoyed this awesome holiday and fell in love with this place. Thank you. The cottage is located on a hill side with beautiful views of the fields and sea. The rooms are clean and adequately furnished. The kitchen was well equipped for short or long stays. The addition of the gas BBQ made for a great outdoor experience looking out onto the fields. The only challenge we had, was the water pressure. Don't take a showeRead morer when anyone is using any taps or toilets anywhere else in the cottage ;-) Hide

We`ve had a lovely time here enjoying the peace and wonderful views. Watched sunsets each night and in the day out and about. Plenty to see and do for young and old especially on Anglesey.

Overall very good. Fantastic location with beautiful scenery and private. Clean and tidy property but for the cooks out there the kitchen lacked one or two instruments. Would certainly recommend.

The rural location was perfect for our break and ideally located for accessing different activities. A property handbook would have been a useful reference.

Disappointed that no one emailed to say the wood burner was not working, as this was one of the reasons why we booked this cottage. The pans in the kitchen were dirty and some had the non stick surface peeling. As there was only two of us using the cottage there was enough kitchen pots and pans but for 6 you would be struggling to cook a meal. It wRead moreould have been helpful to have had a welcome note to explain how certain equipment in kitchen worked ie Microwave and also the heating worked. This all sounds very negative it is not meant to be a criticism, we really enjoyed our stay and the location is brilliant with no passing traffic noise. Hide

The cottage is spacious well equipped and in a great location. The views of the Menai Strait are amazing. The access is fine if you are happy to open and close two gates.
