This charming property, situated at the foot of Cadair Idris, is a fantastic holiday cottage for couples or small families wanting to explore South Snowdonia. Sleeping four across two peaceful bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, this holiday home offers fantastic views of rolling hills from all angles and is the perfect place to switch off from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The cottage, which stands on a working farm, is cosy and inviting. A gorgeous stone fireplace housing a wood burner is the main feature in the open-plan living area, while wooden beams, neutral decor and comfy sofas make it the ideal spot to relax after a long day out hiking. Cook up a storm in the bright and airy kitchen and enjoy sociable meals at the dining table, enjoying the warmth of the wood burner as you chat about your plans for the day ahead. At bedtime, snuggle between the sheets in one of the beautiful bedrooms; each has stunning exposed beams (with reduced head height), and the twin room benefits from a large central window with spectacular views.
Access Cadair Idris and glistening lakes directly from the cottage, giving you hours of adventure on your doorstep. Dolgellau is just 2.5 miles away and has pubs, cafes and shops for your essentials. Coed y Brenin Forest Park (10 miles) is ideal for little ones if they’re not ready for hikes; take short waymarked trails, go orienteering or hire a mountain bike to get around. Barmouth Beach (11.5 miles) is perfect for a day at the seaside, but if you’re here for the walking try the 2.5-mile Torrent Walk that starts 7 miles from the property and leads you through woodland and the River Clywedog’s striking gorge.
