This quaint, traditional cottage is updated with stylish, contemporary furnishings with breathtaking views over the harbour and seaside. Situated half a mile from the bustling resort of Saundersfoot, this charming retreat for two is ideally located for a holiday of both exploration and relaxation.

Lovingly decorated with a home-from-home style throughout, this single-storey cottage has distinctive exposed-stone walls and a cosy wood burner for those after-walk snuggles. Choose your spot after a long day and lose yourself in a good book in the separate reading room. Take on cheffing duties in the well-equipped kitchen, which has everything needed to experiment with flavours. Gorgeous summer evenings call for firing up the BBQ and dining alfresco with a glass or two of bubbles. Say goodnight and sleep easy in the stylish double bedroom, where you’ll also find ample storage for walking equipment. When morning rolls around, sip your morning cuppa on the chairs at the front of the courtyard, while views over the harbour inspire the day’s adventures.

Once a coal port for the mines of Stepaside, Saundersfoot is now a colourful coastal resort with a rich history and a beautiful section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. From here, take a sea safari to spot local dolphins, seals and porpoises or try your hand at fishing, where mackerel, bass or even shark can be caught. After some time on the water, fill up with delicious fare from the many restaurants and pubs in the area, or stop for ice cream on the harbour. Stroll around the stunning National Trust Colby Woodland Garden (4.5 miles) for a picnic, or take a trip through time at Pembroke Castle, one of Britain’s finest strongholds (12 miles).

The cottage is located on a steep hill. Walking to the village is challenging, but the way back is taxing. Parking in the harbour car park at 2 per hour is expensive, and spaces are limited. The choice of facilities in the village is poor, and fish and chips after eight pm is not available. Tenby is close and is amazing in the variety of restaurantRead mores and shops, and the beach is wonderful. Also, Weighbridge in Moreton is close by and is very pretty. The cottage is for self-caterers, and a list of those facilities available in the cottage booklet would have been useful. As holiday makers want to plan their days in the comfort of the temporary home not take pot luck regarding the facilities available. Hide

Very conveniently located. Short walk into the centre for groceries and treats! Lovely beach areas. Wonderful castles and gardens. The cottage area at the rear is interesting. Climb the steps to the sitting area giving splendid view of the harbour and surrounding areas.

Delightful cottage for two in an excellent location . Great private parking near the centre of the village. Property very clean and comfortable. Taller hirers should beware as the internal doors are only about 57 and I have the bumps to prove it. Saundersfoot is pretty good for a range of pubs, restaurants and shops, but it can get a bit lively at Read morebusy times for visitors looking for a quieter experience. Hide

We were surprised at the location, not knowing Saundersfoot at all (on the bend of a steep hill with lots of traffic). However it was in a convenient place for walking into town and accessing the coastal footpath. We loved the terrace behind the cottage which was sheltered and had a view of the bay.
