Treat your loved one to a special stay in this enticing stone cottage in Scurlage on the magnificent Gower Peninsula in South Wales. Sleeping just two guests, the one-bedroom hideaway makes an idyllic, romantic retreat, especially for a couple wishing to bring along a four-legged friend. Nestled in splendid walking country and close to beaches and the coast path, it is the perfect place from which to explore this picturesque corner of the country.
Wander inside to find a lovely, light-filled, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a wall of windows and plenty of space to relax together. Make the most of this space after your long walks and days spent exploring. Relax in front of a good film on TV or whip up tasty dinners to enjoy together at the table on the evenings you choose to dine in. Climb the stairs at the end of each day to enjoy a good night’s sleep in the double bedroom, with its vaulted ceiling. There is an en-suite shower room up here too and the bedroom has a TV so you can indulge in slow mornings in front of your favourite programmes. Take your first cup of tea of the day out to the patio. There is also a garden here that is shared with other cottages. The cottage comes with parking for one car.
Spend summer days down on the golden sand at either Oxwich Bay or Rhossili, both 4 miles from the cottage. Port Eynon, 1.5 miles away, also has a beach. Pick up the Gower Coast Path at any point on the edge of the peninsula and enjoy exhilarating walks with wonderful views. Treat yourselves to a day out in Swansea, 14.5 miles away, with its broad spectrum of restaurants, as well theatres, cinemas, museums and a variety of shopping areas.
