  • Featuring a private hot tub, wood burner and a sunny raised decked area
  • Offering spellbinding panoramic views of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park
Property code: OC-WAG718

An astonishing barn conversion in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, within 1 mile of Llyn Trawsfynydd. With open-plan living areas, a private hot tub, it is the perfect getaway for a family or group of friends keen to explore this iconic area, or simply to relax and enjoy unforgettable panoramic views in tranquil surroundings.

This gorgeous stone barn has been finished to an incredibly standard, its bright, high-ceiled rooms featuring bags of tech and plush modern furnishings that guests will always look forward to coming back to after an active day out. The large statement wood burner in the lounge is one of its main focal points, as are the French doors that lead onto the patio. The views from the patio are incredible, just as they are from the modern kitchen/diner when the bi-bold doors are thrown open. A large modern family bathroom will see plenty of use, just like the utility room that stands nearby. The ground floor is also home to two super-king bedrooms, one with an en-suite and doors opening onto an elevated decked area, the second convertible into a twin bedroom. A large king-size bedroom with plenty of storage space stands alone on the first floor. The outside area is a fantastic place to relax, whether it’s while soaking in the hot tub, sipping cocktails on the patio or preparing an alfresco feast.

The hills, woodland and lakes surrounding the barn typify the beauty of Snowdonia National Park and are ripe for exploring on two feet, on water or on two wheels. Why not cycle around Llyn Trawsfynydd or take a peaceful stroll to Rhaeadr Mawddach and Pistyll Gain waterfalls at Coed y Brenin Forest (6 miles)? The iconic peaks of Cadair Idris and Snowdon lie within 20 miles of the barn, and there are scores of other hills and mountains to climb in between.

  • 3 bedrooms – 2 king-size, 1 super-king-size which can be made up as a twin room on request

The cottage was absolutely amazing, will definitely be going back again next year. Had everything you could need and was so cozy which was very much appreciated staying there in December, the Christmas tree was a lovely touch. The most beautiful and comfortable holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The pictures on the website do not do this beautiful holiday home justice. A very handy guide book is left in the property by the owners and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this property and will most certainly be back.

What a cottage, I almost don't want to write a review so we can keep it secret for ourselves! Ynys Cadno is in a perfect situation for exploring North Wales and Eryri, isolated enough to feel tranquil and away from it all, but close to good major roads to explore further afield. The property was absolutely stunning with open views of Snowdonia to match. This property is beautiful and is located in a stunning setting. We enjoyed watching the sunrise over the mountains and the fog moving through the valley, all whilst tucked up inside a cosy, warm house. The palette of materials and difRead moreferent styles work well together, resulting in spaces that are inviting and comfortable both inside and out. Covering the hot tub with a gazebo ensured that it can be enjoyed even when the weather turns inclement. Though the property seems quite remote, it is only a 10min car journey to the nearest village, a 15min journey to Coed y Brenin Forest Park for some lovely purpose built bike and walking trails and 30mins to Zipworld. Absolutely fabulous cottage, with a view you'll never get tired of looking at! Excellent location, with the property itself being in a peaceful spot, but only a short drive to the main road for days out, and the local village shop. We made good use of the hot tub, BBQ and pizza oven, and had a very memorable holiday!
