Celebrate an extra-special occasion in a manor house with all your loved ones. You’ll be staying in the historic Montgomeryshire in a property built in the 16th century. With space for 14 people, invite your family and friends for a memorable weekend full of adventures, decadence and joy.
As you approach the property, you’ll be stunned by the impressive Tudor facade. When you come in through the entrance hall, you’ll find a bright, classy interior, complete with a kitchen/diner, lounge with a wood burner and a classic wood-panelled dining room with an open fire. It’s the perfect place to explore after your journey, with little delights in every room. Head upstairs to find comfortable bedrooms which allow flexible sleeping arrangements so you wake each day feeling refreshed. The grounds are well-equipped and beautiful, complete with rolling lawns for various games, alongside a heated outdoor pool and a pool house. In the evenings, gather everyone in the outdoor dining area for delicious food or sit around the fire pit and toast marshmallows.
This mansion is situated on the English/Welsh border and has access to interesting places in both countries. You can walk from the front door and explore the local countryside, or head to Mitchell’s Fold Stone Circle, which is 3.5 miles from the property and has a nearby pub for a stroll and a big lunch. Alternatively, try the town of Montgomery for the castle and seasonal fairs (4 miles away) and then continue to the Kerry Vale Vineyard (5.5 miles away). Finish the trip with an excursion to Walcot Stables, 14 miles away, for hacking around Shropshire.
