Celebrate some well-earned time off with a holiday among friends. This gorgeous stone cottage has everything you could want for a relaxing holiday. Located on the Welsh border, you can enjoy wonderful walks, fascinating history and even a vineyard tour before heading back and stargazing from the hot tub or sipping a drink in front of the fire pit.

The interior of the cottage is as beautifully preserved as the outside. Exposed beams give the place a timeless feel, but you still have every modern amenity to hand. Allow your dogs to explore the garden, enclosed by a stone wall, while you enjoy the hot tub or feast at the outdoor dining area. Gather for ghost stories, best exchanged at twilight as you sit around the fire pit for extra spookiness. You’ll find a spacious kitchen and cosy lounge with a wood burner, perfect for nights where you can talk, play games or watch films before heading upstairs. The bedrooms are grand and comfortable, so you’ll sleep like royalty.

Bring your walking boots, because you’ll need to see the beautiful Montgomeryshire countryside. There are plenty of local walks ranging from challenging to peaceful ambles, all offering a great way to get some fresh air and feel revitalised. Montgomery itself is only 5 miles away and has a fascinating castle, as well as great pubs and various fairs throughout the year. These include a beer and folk festival, a July street fair and Christmas markets. Finally, head 6 miles to Kerry Vale Vineyard for a wine tasting, and make sure to pick up a few extra bottles so you can keep enjoying them when you’re back at home.

Wonderful cottage in a great location. Beautiful scenery and amazing cottage facilities. Literally nothing I can say to improve the cottage or the gardens - you have thought of everything.

I think the biggest compliment to any holiday stay, is when nobody wants to go home at the end of he break. From the moment we walked into the barn we fell in love with the place. The interior is plush and all the fixtures and fittings really good quality, a lot of thought has clearly gone into making the accommodation work. The outside space is brRead moreilliant too, with a lovely secure walled-garden, which our 6 year old loved, a comfy seating area and the cleanest hot tub we have ever encountered. The water in the tub was sparkling clean and was a lovely relaxing focal point for the end of the day after walking on the estate or nearby towns! All in all - for us - just perfect.. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay at Camlad Barn - there was plenty of space downstairs in the kitchen and living rooms, and everything was very clean. The outside was tidy and spacious, the hot tub was a big plus. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also very comfortable.
