A quiet seaside holiday is on the cards at this pretty terraced cottage located in Mumbles, a quaint fishing village with plenty to offer the curious tourist. There’s a lovely nature reserve with pretty sea views (150 metres), a Victorian pier dating back to 1898 (1 mile) and a 12th-century castle you can explore (0.5 miles). This welcoming two-bedroom home has space for up to four guests, so works well for a couple or a family group, with one dog welcome to join you.
Enter the property and be greeted by a bright interior with a lovely wooden floor. In the open-plan living area, relax with a book or switch on the Smart TV for some easy entertainment after a long day out seeing the sights. The round dining table sets you up for sociable family meals, prepared in the charming galley kitchen, perhaps with a glass of wine to wash it all down. This space has an attractive feature fireplace and tasteful furniture in neutral tones. A separate conservatory with leather seating presents an alternative spot for relaxation. In the back garden, the patio is a lovely place to relax in the fresh air while children and dogs relax safely in this enclosed space.
The local beach is just 500 metres from your front door and is excellent for rock pooling and walking. You’ll find plenty of other excellent beaches nearby, such as Langland Bay (1.5 miles) which is popular for surfing, and Pobbles (6.5 miles). Don’t miss an opportunity to visit the protected National Trust site at Three Cliffs Bay (6.5 miles), a truly spectacular spot backed by limestone cliffs. Rhossili Bay Beach (16.5) is another must-see – treat yourself to lunch or ice cream in a clifftop cafe before heading over Worms Head Causeway (tide permitting!) for a classic Gower experience.
