A quiet seaside holiday is on the cards at this pretty terraced cottage located in Mumbles, a quaint fishing village with plenty to offer the curious tourist. There’s a lovely nature reserve with pretty sea views (150 metres), a Victorian pier dating back to 1898 (1 mile) and a 12th-century castle you can explore (0.5 miles). This welcoming two-bedroom home has space for up to four guests, so works well for a couple or a family group, with one dog welcome to join you.

Enter the property and be greeted by a bright interior with a lovely wooden floor. In the open-plan living area, relax with a book or switch on the Smart TV for some easy entertainment after a long day out seeing the sights. The round dining table sets you up for sociable family meals, prepared in the charming galley kitchen, perhaps with a glass of wine to wash it all down. This space has an attractive feature fireplace and tasteful furniture in neutral tones. A separate conservatory with leather seating presents an alternative spot for relaxation. In the back garden, the patio is a lovely place to relax in the fresh air while children and dogs relax safely in this enclosed space.

The local beach is just 500 metres from your front door and is excellent for rock pooling and walking. You’ll find plenty of other excellent beaches nearby, such as Langland Bay (1.5 miles) which is popular for surfing, and Pobbles (6.5 miles). Don’t miss an opportunity to visit the protected National Trust site at Three Cliffs Bay (6.5 miles), a truly spectacular spot backed by limestone cliffs. Rhossili Bay Beach (16.5) is another must-see – treat yourself to lunch or ice cream in a clifftop cafe before heading over Worms Head Causeway (tide permitting!) for a classic Gower experience.

Cottage was up an incredibly steep hill. A parking permit should be arranged before arrival. We were not aware of this. For the cottage to be worth the rental it needs a deep clean, windows, blinds and garden requires a sort out. Not suitable for anyone with poor mobility

A comfortable house - nice beds, spacious bathroom with bath and shower; nice sunny outdoor space. Convenient for the town and seafront, but a steep climb up on foot.

Lovely little house. Beds & bedding really comfortable. Fantastic bath & shower with plenty of towels. House requires some TLC & general maintenance. On a very steep hill and have very steep stairs

Love cottage in a great location. However, the parking situation is a problem. We had a great week in the Mumbles area! We drove as far as St. David's but also enjoyed Mumbles with its lovely shops and restaurants.

The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was very convenient for visiting the Gower which was our main attraction and also conveniently located to restaurants and bars in Mumbles and Oystermouth. However, be prepared for the steep hill up to the cottage when walking. Parking can be an issue, the road on which the cottage is locRead moreated is parking permits only. We managed to find a parking space on a side road very close to the cottage during our week's stay. Hide

A lovely cottage with sea views from the back bedroom. Very clean with great equipment in the kitchen. Nice touch of crisps, Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine on arrival. Nice decor throughout. Location is great for The Mumbles but be prepared for a steep walk back to the cottage !

We had a lovely week stay at Tichbourne House. It was attractively decorated and comfortable. It is located up two steep roads from the sea front, which means it is in a quiet location. We always parked on one of the nearby roads as the few spaces along the road require a residents permit.
