This waterside lodge in the quaint village of Llansteffan makes the perfect retreat for large families and groups of friends. You’ll have direct access to the beach and estuary, providing endless opportunities for scenic walks and picnics with a view. Nearby attractions include the National Botanic Garden of Wales (15.5 miles) and the National Trust’s Dinefwr Estate (23.5 miles).

An unmade track leads to the holiday home. Once inside, discover a light and airy, single-storey lodge, with contemporary decor and spacious living areas. The hub of the home is a large lounge, with dual-aspect windows looking out across the estuary. Chill out here, after a long walk, stretched out on the comfortable sofas with your favourite book. On chilly evenings, fire up the wood burner for a cosy movie night in front of the TV/DVD. This room opens into an elegant dining area, where you can enjoy evenings of great food and laughter together. A separate kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering break. The property has three beautiful bedrooms, all decorated in a delicate nautical theme. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, and there’s also a family shower room. Outside, relax on the decked area overlooking the water, watching the local wildlife and taking in your tranquil surroundings.

The traditional Welsh village of Llansteffan has a wide, sandy beach. A short 0.5-mile walk around the headland brings you to the hidden beauty spot of Scott’s Bay – the perfect place for a secluded picnic on a summer’s day. After a day of exploring, refuel in one of the village’s cosy pubs. The bustling town of Laugharne is 14 miles away and has strong links with Dylan Thomas. There are several guided walks around the town, taking you to some of the poet’s favourite old haunts.

Wonderful Cottage/Chalet in an idyllic setting! The whole home was clean, modern and has everything you need to facilitate your stay next to the water. Everyone enjoyed tucking in to our welcome hamper, and the decoration and thoughtful touches around the place made it feel really homely for us (we stayed over Christmas). I think our dog had the beRead morest time of all, running free on the beach and exploring! Memorable moments for us included, bird watching, train spotting and listening to the crackle of the wood fire and the waves crashing on the beach of an evening. Thank you! We would definitely recommend if you are looking for a peaceful getaway next to the sea with all the comforts of home. Hide

Excellent place for a quiet retreat at any time of year. Walks were lovely, and the wood burner so cosy. Fantastic food in the village . The family had a lovely stay at Eryl. We have family and friends in the area and they all visited and were amazed and the location and comfort of the cabin. My six year old and dog adored being straight on the beach. A magical place.
