Nestled in the magical Cwm Gwaun valley just moments from the enchanting Pembrokeshire coast, leave behind reality and escape to this idyllic cottage surrounded by unspoilt natural beauty and discover why this corner of West Wales is so irresistible.

Original exposed stonework, quirky sloping ceilings and far-reaching views of rolling hillsides at this traditional cottage help transport you to pure peace and tranquillity. Cook up a storm with the local delights you’ve collected in the spacious farmhouse-style kitchen/diner and gather the gang to make special family memories around the rustic wooden dining table. As the evening draws in, hunker down in the generous yet cosy lounge and unwind on the comfortable sofas perfectly placed to best enjoy the picturesque green scenery that surrounds you. When you can’t resist that call of bedtime any longer, retire to the en-suite bedroom downstairs, or head upstairs to choose between two characterful bedrooms that feature charming gable walls and stunning Velux windows. Spill out onto the patio to dine alfresco long into the evening as children and four-legged friends let off some steam before bedtime playing around the large lawn.

The peaceful Cwm Gwaun is tucked away in a sleepy valley and is surrounded by glorious woodlands carpeted by bluebells and wild garlic in spring. In the shadow of the Preseli Mountains (7.5 miles), explore the countless countryside walking trails around this wonderfully wild and unspoilt scenery. Water sports enthusiasts can answer the call of the sea at nearby Newport 5 miles away by sailing, canoeing or kayaking the crystal waters licking the sandy mile-long beach. A beautiful cottage, clean and cosy with plenty of room, Paand a hide and seek paradise for our 5 year old boy! The views are glorious, and the area is wonderfully quiet and secluded. Thank you for a peaceful stay.

This is a really cosy cottage in a lovely location. It's very peaceful with lots to do in the area. The owners were very good with communication, and very accommodating to all requests.

We would recommend it for those wanting a walking holiday but it is too remote for young families. The owner was very helpful particularly over a hot water problem.

Secluded, peaceful and in a most beautiful spot. If you want a relaxing break and to get away from it all, this is a perfect setting.

Your website was misleading with pricing (added costs at checkout). The property was lovely but you can't access the rear green fields like the images on the site suggest, and it's located on the side of the main road through the village so there's a lot of noise with farm traffic. The property was lovely but the kitchen equipment is clearly quite Read moreworn out and battered (snapped knives, pans scraped to oblivion). The spring beds aren't very comfortable either. It is a beautiful cottage and it was certainly serene to be there in the valley overlooking the hills. The living room was probably the best part of it with the fireplace and comfy seating and large space to enjoy games. Hide

We love this area and have been going back for 15+ years. We used to stay at Cilgwyn Mawr farm when the owners let their cottage with you. Llysyfelin is a great find for us - we love it and will be back
