BAD SMELLS. The house was charming and technically clean, but there was pollution of a different kind in the form of VOCs (volatile organic chemicals that are 'hazardous to health')). There was also a high powered electrical line running along the house, causing a considerable amount of dirty electricity inside the house. I found dozens of cigaretRead morete butts on the concrete patio, garden planters and lawn. The house smelled like an ashtray painted over with a toxic artificial scent that impacted my sinuses and lungs the whole time I was there. I don't know if the owners are the smokers, the maid, or just people who come to stay, but the combination of cigarette smoke and overlay of toxic artificial scent was overwhelming. I had to leave a day early, which was as long as I could take it. The windows were open 24 hours and the smell never lessened. I had a friend come to stay who is a doctor, barrister and medical law lecturer at Oxford, and she had the same reaction as me. I wouldn't come back again for all these reasons. However, some people may not be bothered by these things. The area itself is extremely beautiful, despite the presence of 5G and high-powered electrical cabling along the entire valley. Hide

A lovely house in the beautiful Gwaun Valley, where we were welcomed with some delicious Welsh cakes, and fresh flowers. There are gorgeous views across the river and woods from the back of the house, and a patio where you can sit and take it all in. The atmosphere in the valley is wonderful, really calm and peaceful. Its also well placed for visRead moreiting plenty of places of interest in Pembrokeshire, including St.Davids, or walking the coast path, and Fishguard is only short drive away. We all fell in love with the house and location, and will definitely be going back ! Hide

Lovely house, plenty of room, very well equipped kitchen with sharp knives :-) (blunt kitchen knives are a pet hate of mine), very quiet location, coast and several places of interest all within easy reach.

I booked this holiday for my family of six and grandparents. On arrival the cottage was spotless and clean and a real homely atmosphere. I couldn't rate this place any higher and will be coming again next year. So sad to leave and the children loved it. Feel we've found our holiday spot for the foreseeable future. Hide

We had a really comfortable and relaxing time in Llysyfelin. The location is amazing, beautiful and interesting with many good walks. The house is very well and thoughtfully furnished and I loved living with and cooking with a Rayburn. We also enjoyed our glasses of beer at the local inn. We hope to be back.

We would recommend it for those wanting a walking holiday but it is too remote for young families. The owner was very helpful particularly over a hot water problem.
