Enjoy the wildlife and waters of the Mawddach estuary (15.5 miles), board the steam train on the Talyllyn narrow-gauge historic railway (9 miles) or go underground in Corris Slate Mines (18 miles). Take the water taxi from Fairbourne to Barmouth or head to nearby Aberdovey, which offers a championship golf course, water sports activities from the harbour, shops, galleries and eateries. Enjoy culinary delights, independent shops and a host of events, all within 12 miles.
