A quintessential country home surrounded by leafy palm trees and nestled near the scenic village of Mumbles. This spacious retreat is perfect for a family escape or reunion with old friends. Tuck into a traditional fish supper on the bustling Mumbles Pier (2.5 miles), before stretching out in the elegant lounge with an evening tipple.

This traditional property boasts a thoughtfully styled interior with light-flooded social spaces, opulent hanging lights, and neutral tones. Slip off sandy shoes in the large hallway then pad into the inviting living room. Snuggle up amongst the plump pillows and thumb through a guidebook. Throw a log on the wood burner and bask in the warmth while you debrief on the day’s adventures. Keen cooks can rustle up a crowd-pleasing supper in the airy kitchen/diner. Congregate around the long dining table, bathed in natural light. In warmer months, prop open the patio doors to let the breeze drift inside as you dine. Upstairs, discover six bright bedrooms in a range of configurations to suit the whole group. Enjoy crisp linens, calming hues, and garden views. Outdoors, gear up for lawn games on the terraced garden, get grilling on the BBQ, or enjoy a nightcap beneath the stars.

Breathe in the salty ocean air as you stroll the glistening bay of Langland Bay Beach (0.5 miles) then scope out the array of intricately carved designs at The Lovespoon Gallery (1.5 miles). Soak up the rich local history with a visit to the 12-Century Oystermouth Castle (1 mile) complete with secret passages for the curious historians of the group.

Very spacious, airy, clean and well-equipped. The 2 double bedrooms are lovely and the 2 attic singles are fine too - still quite large. Both bathrooms are again spacious and pleasant. We were there during very hot weather so the 3 fridges plus large-ish freezer came in very handy - the big fridge has an ice and chilled water dispenser. Main livingRead more areas are large and well arranged. We were watching a fair bit of the World Cup in the front room - very comfortable with a good TV. Location is a quiet road and a very short walk down to Langland beach where there is a good restaurant - but the walk back up is very steep! Great for quickly accessing the coastal path. Overall very pleased. Hide

We were so lucky to find Brynfield House available for our dates. We were three siblings and Mum celebrating her 90th birthday. Whilst the stairs ( normal) we a little challenging for her the comfort and space afforded by the property more than made up for that. The location is amazing just yards down to Langland Bay. We would rent this home again in a heartbeat. Hide

This is a fabulous spacious house and was ideal for our family holiday. Langland Bay is a great location and it was good to visit Caswell and Mumbles as well as Rhossilli. The kitchen was well equipped for home cooked feasts and family breakfasts. It was good to have the drive for easy parking. All in all a wonderful spot.

Overall very nice property and reasonable price. If you are looking for lots of places and attractions other than the beauty of a very rural environment then you may be disappointed but we loved it for its peace and quiet. A lot of work going on to waterfront which is impressive. Car parking is very expensive here in Mumbles. Close enough o SwanseaRead more to enjoy most amenities. Hide

Beautiful house, really enjoyed being there. Very clean, quality fittings, with lots of homely touches. Comfy bed, quality bedding. Loved the big fridge, with iced water etc. Nice welcome pack. Ideal location to walk into Mumbles & local beaches, bit of a climb back up to house, but as long as you're reasonably fit, no problem. Nice not having to uRead morese the car most days. There were only two of us, so we only really used parts of the house & were rattling about a bit. It is a large house & would be ideal for a larger group, or even two small families...loads of room. Excellent to have own parking on drive too. Very quiet area, although we did have builders two doors away, who woke us at 7.30 each morning arriving in their vans & starting machinery, but this didn't really detract from our enjoyment of the place.
