To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed garden with a small lawn and a flagstone patio area with outside seating, perfect for al fresco dining in the summer evenings.

The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Wander through nearby Mortimer Forest (6 miles), which has several trails for all abilities through different terrain. Step back in time at the 13th-century Stokesay Castle (6 miles) or head 12 miles to the National Trust Croft Castle and Parkland and spend a day exploring the castle and extensive grounds.

A very well equipped cottage in a great location for visiting this area. The owners are very welcoming. There is a lot of traffic noise but that is the price of such a good location.

The cottage is lovely, a proper home from home where you can feel relaxed. The garden is completely enclosed and safe for the dog. The weather wasn't great, however the sitting room is very light and comfortable for lazing and reading. The village shop has everything you need and the bacon and sausages from the proper butcher in the village are gooRead mored. We did manage to sit outside down by the river in the sunshine, with a local beer, a couple of times. The countryside in the area is beautiful. The owners have thought of everything you might need, with instructions for everything, books, games, places to visit etc. Hide

Tansy Cottage is in a lovely location. Leintwardine is an interesting, friendly village, within easy reach of Offa's Dyke, Herefordshire Way and Shropshire Way. Our dog loved the conservatory and the enclosed garden. The kitchen and bathrooms are well-equipped and the beds are comfy. We would definitely book this property again.

We stayed in Tansy Cottage for 7 days and thought it was the best cottage we have ever rented, to date. The cottage was well appointed, very clean and spacious with plenty of room for 2 adults and a large dog. We found the village of Leintwardine to be friendly and welcoming and used the local shop, fish and chip shop and the The Lion Pub.
