The host went beyond what would be expected to make our holiday even more fantastic. The Old Cow Shed was a perfect retreat for exploring Shropshire particularly Ludlow, Clee Hill and the Long Mynd. Decent pub was easy staggering distance.

Overall we were disappointed with our stay in this cottage, due to terrible weather we spent a lot more time indoors than we were anticipating and the overall feel was that the bare minimum was provided, it did not feel like a luxury experience in any way. To provide examples - there were only 4 logs provided for the log burner, and two of these weRead morere wet, the firelighter had no fuel in it, so luckily we brought our own matches. There was also no stove mit or fire tools to stoke the fire safely. The TV was not connected to an aerial, so we were unable to watch the six nations rugby live which was a big disappointment. The sofa was really on it's last legs the padding was all gone and it was quite uncomfortable as a result. The kitchen was very poorly equipped, usually when we stay in self catered there are some basic provisions provided, sometimes even a welcome basket, but here there was nothing- no tea, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, oil, no tea towels, no oven gloves! The wifi only worked in the living/bedroom, no internet in the bathroom or kitchen at all. Finally the photos on the website we did not feel represented the view from the property, it looks as though you can sit in bed/on the sofa and look at an unspoilt view. In reality you are looking at a gravel driveway and a wooden fence. All of this combined left us feeling disappointed in our experience. Hide

You can tell the owners have put a lot of love and effort into making the place feel high standard. No cheap furniture, everything was high quality and it showed and was appreciated. Received fresh flowers and wine on arrival and thank you for the special touch at the Angel for our celebrations. And a great meal choice too! We stayed 3 nights here, everything felt peaceful and away from it all. And I think they have been really creative with how theyve designed the property. I would recommend to others. Thank you Anya.
