Savour the serenity of this delightful shepherd''s hut nestled in the rolling borderlands of England and Wales. Situated in the hamlet of Buckton and boasting views out over scenic Herefordshire and the Shropshire Hills, the one-bedroom, dog-friendly abode is the perfect hideaway for a couple. Head out from here on long walks or spend time in the colourful market towns of Ludlow, 12 miles away, and Knighton, 6.5 miles away.

Climb four steps up and into the exquisite shepherd''s hut. Wander in to find beautifully designed and finished accommodation, where you and your loved one can relax and enjoy being close to nature. Discover a small kitchen where you can prepare light meals and snacks. Open the table to dine inside together or carry your dishes out into the fresh air and sunshine. Watch TV or read your books inside the hut, with the stable door half open to bring in a breeze. Climb into the double bed at the end of each wonderful day away to treat yourselves to a fantastic night''s sleep. Within the shepherd''s hut you have your own shower room and WC. Make the most of the opportunities for outdoor living at this retreat. Relax over a bottle of wine on summer evenings as you take in the views and listen to the gentle sound of the passing stream.

Lace up your walking boots and explore the Welsh Marches or follow a section of the Offa''s Dyke Path, which runs along much of the border between England and Wales and can be picked up at Knighton. This is the only town right on the long-distance footpath and is home to the Offa''s Dyke Centre. Head into Ludlow to see the ruined medieval fortifications of the castle and to peruse the shops for delicious local produce.

Badger Hut at Upper Buckton Farm is an absolute little gem. A compact home from home with everything you could ever need for the perfect stay. The owners, Jonathan and Mary were very friendly and ensured I was happy throughout my 5 day stay without being at all intrusive. I will definitely be returning within the next few weeks as I am hoping to buRead morey property in the area so have lots of viewings in Herefordshire and Shropshire. It was a pleasure to return to the warmth and comfort of Badgers Hut at the end of 5 very long days with lots of driving involved. The decor and soft furnishings are all absolutely gorgeous and I cant wait to return. Hide
