A magnificent Welsh retreat, set in a commanding, waterside position, 200 metres from the banks of the Dwyryd Estuary, this exceptional property is ideal for that special, large group stay. Sleeping up to 16 guests, the eight-bedroom period house nestles in glorious natural surroundings in Ynys, 2.5 miles from Talsarnau and 4.5 miles from Penrhyndeudraeth. Set in picturesque grounds and gardens that lead down to the water, it offers exquisite accommodation with enchanting views at every turn. Look out across the estuary to Port Meirion or visit the famous Italianate village, 6.5 miles away. Head to Harlech, 3.5 miles away on the coast, to spend time on the beach or visit its medieval castle. Venture into the dramatic landscape of Eryi, also known as Snowdonia, to follow fabulous footpaths, climb mountains and enjoy other activities in the great outdoors. Porthmadog, 8 miles away, is known for its interesting shops, eateries and heritage railways.

Tear yourself away from the incredible, far-reaching views to follow steps down from the parking area, across the courtyard garden and into the kitchen/diner at this attractive, three-storey house. Head into the boot room to shuffle off your walking boots or wellies, before setting to and whipping up the next hearty feast for your friends and family. There is a shower and a separate wet room close to the boot room. Gather in the kitchen/diner for casual meals or make your way through to the spacious dining room, with its long table, for special holiday or celebratory meals. The lounge is another marvellous, communal space. Here you can congregate after your exhilarating excursions to watch a film together on the Smart TV, play a game or chat as the wood burner crackles gently. The younger members of your party will also love the games room, with its full-size pool table and second Smart TV for alternative viewing. Open the doors in here to spill out into the sunshine on summer days. At the end of each wonderful day away, make your way to one of the sumptuous bedrooms. A king-size bedroom, with an en-suite shower/wet room, is situated on the ground floor, while two staircases lead up to the other bedrooms. Stairs beside the games room lead up to a shower room and wet room, while more stairs ascend to a lovely double bedroom, with an en-suite shower room. There is also a superb bunk bedroom, with adult-size beds and another shower room. Two single bedrooms can be found up another flight. From the rear hall, the other staircase takes you up to the gorgeous family bathroom, with its roll-top bath, a library landing and two more double bedrooms. There is also an inviting twin bedroom here.

Spill out into the North Wales sunshine to savour the exceptional position of this unique holiday home. Dine together or open a bottle of wine as you look out over the water towards Portmeirion and the mountains beyond. Have morning coffee in the walled courtyard garden, wander around the orchard or play games with the children on the lawn. There is private parking here for four cars, plus additional parking on the adjacent field if required.
