Lovely cottage with the most stunning view, huge comfy bed and cosy living space. With dogs if they are prone to jumping then the fence could be considered low. Amazing place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Have family live close by so was the perfect base to use to explore local areas. The only negative i can think of were the roads leading up to the property need a bit of maintenance, but apart from that I would highly recommend staying here!

We found the property to be clean, very comfortable, and very quiet. If you're taking your furry friends, then this property is located in a perfect position for long walks, and the pub is a must-visit for a delicious meal and very good value for money. We had a really lovely stay at the cottage and found it to be extremely cosy, quiet, and relaxing. Its in a beautiful location and feels very private, making it a great place to unwind and switch off. The cottage was very clean on arrival and has been furnished thoughtfully to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Even though the weather was veRead morery poor during our visit, we were still able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and it made the cottage feel like a real retreat. The views from the property are fantastic and a real highlight. The cottage itself is very remote, which is perfect if you are looking to get away from it all as we were; just remember that its a long way to the nearest shop if you forget anything. That said, we genuinely had a wonderful time and found the cottage to be charming, comfortable, and very relaxing. With a few small improvements, it has the potential to be absolutely perfect. We would certainly consider returning, and would happily recommend it to others seeking a peaceful and cosy getaway in a beautiful part of Wales. Hide

Spectacular views. Hot tub great. Walks on doorstep. Although garden is fenced, it is very low therefore not secure for our dogs who could easily jump it, they remained on their leads. If you like peace and quiet and lovely sunrises and sunsets, then this is the place for you, cannot fault the location but be prepared for a very bumpy 2.4 mile drivRead moree up and an equally bumpy 0.8 mile farm track to cottage. Would recommend but not quite as luxurious as we had hoped. Hide

A beautiful cottage in an absolutely stunning location. The pictures on the website really dont do the views justice. Comfortable, clean, modern, with just the right amount of rustic. The hot tub is fantastic, and what a setting! Definitely drive carefully on your way up the track as its a bit lumpy. Echo what others have said- WiFi can be quiteRead more slow as its shared between properties. Will definitely stay again! Hide

We stayed at Y Golwg for 14 nights in January 2025 with 2 Collies. The first thing you see when you pull up , is 'the view'. A spectacular panorama of the 3 peaks of Abergavenny. The property itself was tastefully decorated with quality furnishings. The kitchen was fairly well equipped again with quality utensils. The kitchen/living room is open plRead morean with a staircase leading to the upper level. The bathroom has a free standing bath, walk in shower W.C. and wash hand basin with a spectacular view from the huge window. Spacious bedroom, king size bed with beautiful bedding. Towels and toiletries provided. Another wall to wall window looking out over the three peaks. A small cupboard on the landing provided some hanging space for clothes also chest if drawers in the bedroom. Stairs, landing and bedroom carpeted. Downstairs was tiled with under floor heating which worked very well. Lovely local walks from the property but be aware of the sheep. Other places of interest accessible by car ranging from 10 - 30 mins away. Access to the property is via single track road. We had a lovely time but we're very grateful for mostly dry weather. The owners were lovely and communicated quickly by text to any queries I had. The remote location of this property is perfect for those of us who appreciate nature and the out doors. Hide

Great location, enjoyed our stay. Broadband is shared with two other cottages, which the tv is linked to and unfortunately can not keep up with people using it.

The cottage is beautifully placed at the peak of a hill. The area is very quiet, and peaceful. There are two pubs nearby, but both require a walk on tough terrain, we would advice travelling by car. The house is well equipped, and very modern. The underfloor heating is a lovely addition. The wood fired hot tub takes around 3 hours to heat up on theRead more first day, and then 1-2 hours to reheat on the following days. You need to regularly add more wood to the fire, roughly every 30 mins. Thank you for a wonderful stay Hide
