For a restful Welsh holiday with excellent walking opportunities right from your front door, stay at this modern holiday home on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Access landmarks like the Sugar Loaf (100 meters) and The Skirrid (3.5 miles) without needing the car, and head out on satisfying cycle rides through the rugged local landscapes. Just 1 mile away, you can join the Offa’s Dyke Path leading to sites like Hatterrall Hill (7.5 miles). You may fancy visiting historical sites like Abergavenny’s castle (2.5 miles) or the medieval ruins of Llanthony Abbey (8 miles). Literature lovers will adore poking around the second-hand bookshops in Hay-on-Wye (21 miles), while a little closer you can explore market towns like Crickhowell (8 miles). Head up the pathway then enter your stylish accommodation, a timber pod with elegant curved walls and sleek LED spotlights throughout. The inside is laid out with two rooms at the front and two at the back. The glass front door leads you directly into the kitchen, where a microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle is on hand for making simple meals. This leads through to the shower room at the back with a lovely, heated towel rail. To the left of the pod, at the front, is an inviting lounge area with a sofa for relaxing, a wood burner to keep you warm and a Smart TV for light entertainment. A concertina door from here takes you through to the cosy double bedroom at the back.
Head outside and explore the delightful, shared garden and enjoy a picnic on the benches with views out onto a working sheep farm. The parking area, pub and two other pods are accessible via the communal pathway.
