Nearby trails include the Offa’s Dyke (3 miles) and the Mortimer Trail (7 miles), with scenic gems like Wigmore Castle and Croft Ambrey (11 miles) along the way. Kington (7 miles) is celebrated for its Hergest Croft Gardens, while Ludlow (16.5 miles) has a medieval castle and an atmospheric market. Hay-on-Wye (18 miles), famous for its bookshops and the gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park. A little further away and not to be missed is the Elan Valley (30 miles) with its visually stunning and architecturally fascinating Dams and visitor centre.
