While away mornings admiring local black-and-white timbered buildings, cobbled streets and cosy tea rooms that transport you to a bygone era. Fans of history will love visiting the Grade II-listed Judges’ Lodgings (0.5 miles), a Victorian museum complete with restored apartments, a courtroom and cells. Because of the area’s elevation (around 270 metres), breath-taking views are the norm, making it wonderful for exploring by foot or bike. Within a quarter of a mile is the Warden, perfect for walks from the door, it's a fascinating public park based around a 12th-century motte and bailey castle. For children there is a play park, tennis courts and a skate park within a mile radius, plus access to the river for wild swimming. The small breeds farm in Kington is a lovely day out for all of the family (8 miles). Nearby trails include the Offa’s Dyke (3 miles) and the Mortimer Trail (7 miles), with scenic gems like Wigmore Castle and Croft Ambrey (11 miles) along the way. Kington (7 miles) is celebrated for its Hergest Croft Gardens, while Ludlow (16.5 miles) has a medieval castle and an atmospheric market. Hay-on-Wye (18 miles), famous for its bookshops and the gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park. A little further away and not to be missed is the Elan Valley (30 miles) with its visually stunning and architecturally fascinating Dams and visitor centre.

Arriving at this stunning property you will admire its impressive alpine-style appearance, step inside this delightful home to find a welcoming open-plan spacious kitchen, dining and living area. With floor to ceiling windows you can relax in total comfort while enjoying the far reaching countryside views. After a day of activity the whole group can curl up and watch a movie on the Smart TV. Cook up yummy holiday meals in the well-equipped kitchen, perhaps with produce from Presteigne’s monthly farmers' market. Hang coats and store outdoor shoes in the handy utility room. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find a cosy double bedroom with an en-suite shower. All rooms boast lovely large windows allowing plenty of natural light in.
