The cottage itself was lovely, however the site has a deserted feel due to the amount of empty concrete hardstandings. Pushing a pram around the barriers and into the childrens playground was difficult due to lack of ramps and deep chippings. Unfortunately the woodland dog walk was shut, not the sites fault but not available for forseeable future aRead morend the bar doesnt open until the end of July. It is a car/bike journey to the nearest shop so need to be prepared. However the coastline is beautiful and we looked past the disappointment of not having facilities we expected to enjoy our break. Lovely cosy, warm, comfortable lodge. We stayed in November time and was always nice and cosy to return to after cold walks on the beach. Beautiful (and plenty of) dog blankets. Would be nice to have dog bowls. Other places we've stayed at before have left dog treats too. The area is quiet in the winter, but beaches are dog friendly at that time ofRead more year.
