This quaint holiday retreat is in the vibrant seaside village of Mumbles, within easy reach of its many shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. The cottage welcomes four guests and is perfect for couples and families seeking a traditional Welsh getaway by the sea. Enjoy day trips to the coastal city of Swansea (4.5 miles) or breathtaking Gower Peninsula (1 mile). In the evenings, sit out on the roof terrace and marvel at distant views over Swansea Bay.

The charming terraced cottage is bursting with character, with gorgeous beamed ceilings sitting alongside contemporary furniture and accessories. The open-plan lounge/diner is a sociable spot in which to unwind after a day at the beach. Curl up on one of the plump sofas in the glow of the wood burner and switch on the Smart TV. A step up leads to a delightful dining area with a mix of chairs and bench-style seating for enjoying mealtimes as a group. From here, head through to the separate kitchen, which is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering getaway. Upstairs, nestled in the eaves, are two inviting bedrooms, one of which is a bunk bedroom (with a double on the bottom and a single above). A family bathroom completes the accommodation. From the kitchen, steep steps lead to the enclosed roof patio. Sit and admire the far-reaching views across the sea here.

In Mumbles, you can enjoy traditional seaside fun at the amusement arcade on the pier, take a ride on the seasonal land train, or immerse yourself in the local history at Oystermouth Castle. There are some truly spectacular beaches nearby, including Bracelet Bay and the surfing hotspot of Langland Bay (both 1.5 miles). Mumbles is often referred to as the Gateway to the Gower Peninsula, where you can discover iconic Welsh beauty spots such as Rhossili Bay and Worm’s Head (17 miles).

Cottage is very small and on the darker side, but well equipped and clean. There was no wood left for us to use and we booked that because it had a log burner and couldnt find any wood locally. On a very steep hill with no garden so feel it is very over priced unfortunately.
