Spotless accommodation in a beautiful, peaceful setting, with lots of local bits to see and do nearby: Greenhouse Cafe is amazing, plenty of castles and history, and lots of great walks. Hosts were very nice - fixed a minor shower issue within an hour. The secure dog field was a bit wild (stingers & sheep poo) so we ended up booking a great locRead moreal field for our greyhound to run around in. Overall, we had a great time and would stay again. This is a lovely comfortable lodge. Spacious, yet cosy once settled in. A nice walk to the Nags Head bar, restaurant where great food is served. Other bars in Welshpool, plus a great garden centre which is worth a visit. Also the numerous historic castles are worth visiting to understand more about Welsh History. Aderyn Du Lodge A Truly Magical Stay Well Treasure Forever We had the most incredible time at Aderyn Du Lodge. It was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how peaceful and remote the location is. Its the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed, surrounded by nature and the gentle sounds of sheepRead more in the distance. No traffic, no noise, just pure tranquillity. This was our first trip as an engaged couple (I proposed the day before we arrived), and the lodge made it feel like a continuation of that special moment. The hot tub was amazing; soaking under the stars in such a serene setting was unforgettable. The outdoor seating was perfect for morning coffees and evening chats, and the whole place just felt like a warm hug. Inside, the lodge is beautifully kept: clean, tidy, and thoughtfully laid out. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, and the welcome bottle of wine was such a lovely touch. The fridge was a great size, the oven and hob were brilliant, and the dishwasher was a lifesaver. The only tiny downside was having just one tablet for the whole week, but thats me being picky. The shower was spacious and refreshing, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The location is ideal. Its remote enough to feel like a proper escape, yet still offers easy access to nearby towns and villages. The owners gave us fantastic pub and restaurant recommendations, which made exploring the area even more enjoyable. They are genuinely wonderful people: friendly, helpful, and full of local knowledge. You can tell they care deeply about the experience they offer. Their adorable little dog came bounding over to greet us and our dogs, tail wagging and full of joy. It was such a sweet moment that made us smile. The lodge is very dog-friendly, and our pups felt right at home. If we were really picking at straws, wed suggest a little more security around the dog area, just to prevent any curious dogs from wandering toward the sheep. Perhaps fencing off the grass patch in front of the lodge could create a safe, designated free-roam area for dogs. One tiny hiccup: I got a bit lost on the footpaths (clearly I cant read maps). A few directional signs to the pub or a sign on the dog paddock might help future guests, but honestly, thats more a me problem than anything else. We would return in a heartbeat. Aderyn Du Lodge gave us memories well cherish forever, and were so grateful for the love and care thats gone into creating such a special place. Thank you for everything! Hide

Just returned from a fabulous 4 night mid week break. The lodge was perfect and met all our needs. It was immaculately clean throughout. Enough space for 2 adults and 2 dogs who loved the field just outside to run around in. The balcony was gated too so they could wander in and out as they pleased. The kitchen was well equipped and as we were enjoyRead moreing just chillaxing out on the balcony and in the hot tub etc we actually stayed in a couple of nights. The views were beautiful and a highlight too was watching the Red Kite bird of prey flying close by above us one evening. Shops and local pubs were not too far away. We drove out most days to explore the local area, all are detailed in the lodge guidebook. Would definitely love to return! Hide

A really lovely, quiet cabin on a farm. An excellent place to go if you are looking for complete isolation and escapism! Not a place to go if you are looking for lots of activities as it is very out of the way of anywhere local.
