Escape with your loved ones to this unique stone cottage in the picturesque village of Llangorse. Overflowing with character, it sleeps four people across two bedrooms – making it the ideal retreat for families and groups of friends who want to discover the wild beauty of the Brecon Beacons together. Spend wonderful days walking or boating at Llangynidr Locks and Canal, and in the evening, come home to your cottage’s enclosed courtyard to enjoy a glass of wine while the stars come out.

Park in your private parking spot (there’s room for three cars) and head to this beautiful reverse-layout stone cottage. Follow the wooden stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find an inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area that boasts a characterful vaulted ceiling and striking exposed beams. Take a moment to relax on the sofa and appreciate the room’s quaint period features, before heading to the farmhouse-style kitchen to whip up some dinner. Gather everyone together to eat at the rustic dining table, or head out into the picture-perfect garden to dine alfresco. After dinner, head back to the lounge area to stetch out in front of your favourite TV shows. At the end of the day, you’ll find two delightful king-size bedrooms on the ground floor to choose from. Completing the layout is a chic bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Lace up your walking boots and head to Mynydd Llangorse (1.5 miles). Hike or bike along its trails while soaking up the rugged beauty of the Welsh landscape. Alternatively, head to Tretower Court and Castle (7.5 miles) to see the 12th-century stone castle and its remarkably preserved 15th-century manor house.

A lovely cottage set in the heart of a beautiful village. My wife and I have rented many holiday cottages around the country and this would certainly rank in the top three for location, comfort, equipment and value for money. We are already talking about returning.

A beautiful barn conversion in the most perfect village. A public house directly opposite and 1 around the corner. A 15 minute walk to a lovely lake with a bar/ cafe was perfect for walking the Dogs. Lovely villages to visit with nice canal walks. We had a perfect week. Wednesday evening is pizza night in pub opposite. Lovely.
