What a beautiful spot! Great location for exploring Snowdon, walking, visiting Llanberis and Anglesey. We loved sitting outside and taking in the magnificent views. We were a group of 5 adults, and the lounge seating was a bit of a squeeze for our group, but the beds were super comfy. And we appreciated the owners being on hand and responsive when Read morewe contacted them during our stay. We've suggested adding a few extra bits in the kitchen to make self-catering for a group of 5 or 6 a bit easier, but overall we really enjoyed our week at Fron and would recommend to others. You just can't beat that view and location! Hide

Fron is stunning in every way! The garden is large and kept two fit labradors safely curtained. The seating area was perfect for a cuppa to survey the valley and watch the light change over the hills. The kitchen had everything we needed from the practicalities of dishwasher tablets to tea towels and oven gloves to pots and pans. The welcome gift oRead moref Welsh goodies and eggs from their hens were much appreciated. The house itself is well arranged with a great dining table and comfy settee. The games room has a table football which brought out some competitive streaks. Upstairs the beds were very comfy and there was plenty of storage space. The downstairs shower is great and the upstairs bathroom luxurious. Everything looks brand new. Our daughter was particularly pleased that the towels were a 'proper size' rather than those usually found on holidays. Not only were they big but soft and absorbent. There are stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, keeping little people safe and keeping sneaky bed seeking dogs downstairs. Location wise there is good parking for 2 and perhaps even three cars. Hills are literally on your doorstep and if you're going up the ones behind the house you're saved a 100m or so of climb being up the valley already. The slate quarries of Dinorwig were fascinating with a real sense of stepping back in time and we spent several hours pottering around them, the scale can only be appreciated when you're actually there. Llonis, the owner, is very friendly and we enjoyed chatting to her. If you're still wondering if Fron is right for you, I'm sure it is! Hide

This is one of the best furnished cottages we have stayed at over many years. A very high standard, clean, comfortable, well thought out and everything in good working order. Beautiful house in the most amazing setting, very clean and the perfect base for anyone wanting to explore the Welsh mountains and all it has to offer. Right on the edge of some amazing hikes and looking out at the most beautiful scene of mount Snowdon (we hiked Snowdon and could see the house from one of the paths). On arrival we had been proviRead moreded with milk, fruit and Welsh cakes and the owners also dropped off some eggs freshly layed by their chickens that morning - washing up liquid, laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets were also provided! Comfortable beds and the most relaxing reading chair on the landing looking out over Snowdon (so comfortable I found the chair online and have brought one for myself). Brilliant holiday made even more special by having such an amazing place to stay - will definitely be back. Hide
