Let the sun stream into this gorgeous Freshwater East retreat with sea views. Relax inside or out on the balcony when you stay at the ground-floor apartment, which is about 400 metres from the sandy beach. Sleeping four guests, and ideal for a couple or small family, the two-bedroom bolthole is also well placed for keen walkers wishing to follow the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and for days out to Pembroke, 4.5 miles away.

Slide your walking boots off at the door and head on down the airy hallway to the hub of the holiday home. This is a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with glass patio doors that slide open to your balcony on fine, sunny days. Take in the views from inside or step out to look out towards the sea. Cater for yourselves in the stylish kitchen then sit down to tasty meals at the table by the window. Pull back the doors in the main space to reveal the sumptuous double bedroom. There is also a single bedroom. There is a family shower room at the apartment. Sip your morning cuppa out on the balcony with views down towards the sea. There is private, off-road parking for one car.

Follow the coastal path on foot for 2 miles from the apartment to picnic or dip at Swanlake Beach. Take the children to Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, 12 miles away. Venture into Pembroke to meander through the shops, dine in a restaurant and see the striking, medieval castle.

Please note the above. The flat, whilst unprepossessing externally, is compact, well designed, scrupulously clean and with every amenity one could need. The owners are to be commended. We appreciated the quiet location. Just a few more instructions needed.

The property has all we required for a week stay. It was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The location is perfect, with a beautiful beach within walking distance. We hope to return soon. Pat & Dave
