Enjoy the natural beauty of Strumble Head from this airy cottage in Pembrokeshire. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, dog-friendly Welsh hideaway nestles on a smallholding, 3 miles from Goodwick and 4.5 miles from Fishguard. This accommodation benefits from countryside and coastal views, as well as proximity to beautiful beaches.

Wander into the two-storey abode, which has been designed to incorporate solar thermal energy, an air-source heat pump, water from a private spring and EV charging. The interior is bright and airy, with features such as exposed beams and white-washed stone walls. The lounge/kitchen/diner is a welcoming space where you can recline on the sofa and absorb the views through the huge window. Light the wood burner here during the autumn and winter seasons then settle down to watch the Smart TV or listen to music via the stereo system as you enjoy its cosy heat. The hand-built, wooden kitchen provides ample food preparation and storage space and there is a table to gather around for holiday meals. One of your bedrooms, a twin, with an en-suite wet room, is also downstairs, while a king-size bedroom and en-suite bathroom are up on the first floor of the cottage. To access this, guests must be happy to climb an alternate tread staircase. Spill out into your private seating area to enjoy a drink against the scenic background of your surroundings. Stroll around the smallholding to meet the animals and to find footpaths out across the countryside. There is parking for two cars.

Walk 3 miles across the headland to see the lighthouse, looking out for seals in the water as you go. Head into Fishguard to visit galleries, boutiques and market stalls. Plan a day out to the beach in the sheltered cove at Pwllgwaelod, 9.5 miles away.
