Occupying an idyllic location in the southern reaches of Snowdonia National Park, this spacious country retreat is a dream setting for memorable gatherings of family and friends. This dog-friendly property is ideal for multi-generational groups with a games room and outdoor dining options.

This former school has been thoughtfully renovated, incorporating original features such as beautifully arched windows with contemporary style and high-quality finishes. A generous boot room leads into a light-filled kitchen that’s equipped for everything from lazy breakfasts to festive banquets. Gather in the expansive lounge/diner for laughter-filled mealtimes, while a crackling wood burner promises cosy evenings in the lounge area with a Smart TV. There’s an additional snug for quiet moments. 11 bedrooms spread over the ground and first floors accommodating 27 guests, ranging from king-size suites to a dorm-style room, all with lovely rural views. Step straight onto walking and biking trails from the door, or venture to the renowned Dyfi Bike Park (4.5 miles) and the tranquil waters of Tal-y-Llyn Lake (3 miles). Birdwatchers will relish visits to the Dyfi Osprey Project and RSPB Ynys Hir (both within 13.5 miles), while the market town of Machynlleth (7 miles) boasts quirky shops, art galleries and one of Britain’s oldest street markets.

We stayed for a long weekend for a 50th birthday gathering. Location was great and the amenities provided were top notch. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything youd need and the property was presented in immaculate condition. The games room and fire pit are a great addition for those who dont want to go for a ramble around the countryside. WoulRead mored definitely recommend the cottage for a staycation. Hide

Wow what a place. Every need catered for. So clean too. We were all amazed at the comfort of the sofas and beds. It has so many bathrooms and all beautifully done. The decor in every room is second to none. We were spoilt beyond our expectations and would return in a heartbeat. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was very well equipped. The layout was perfect fir a big group containing groups of families. The location was excellent, close to good pubs and good beaches. The owners were always on hand by phone, if you needed any recommendations

Myself and my family have just had the most wonderful stay at Tyn Y Berth. Its absolutely beautiful inside and out. Theres everything you could possibly need there for you to enjoy a relaxing break. The house is exceptionally well decorated, very clean and finished off to a high standard. We cant fault a single thing. The owner herself is also a Read morevery lovely lady. We had the most incredible stay everything was truly perfect. The cottage was unbelievably well-equipped, far beyond what we expected, and the location couldnt have been better. The thoughtful touches, like the activity books, made such a difference and showed how much care goes into hosting here. It was fantastic for everyone kids and adults Read morealike and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. What a wonderful house, it was my dads 88th birthday so had ages 3-88 years and it had everything you could possibly need, so well equipped with a lovely owner. The house is in such a beautiful part of the country and we will definitely be back.

I hosted a stag do here and it was absolutely perfect. The house is so comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We had a good laugh, made the most of the games room and barbecues and had everything we needed. 10/10 fully recommend.
