Holiday in luxury with up to seven others – family or friends – but also up to four furry friends in this beautifully restored farmhouse. It’s ideal for any dog-loving extended families or friendship groups keen to spend time together and explore Snowdonia National Park (Eryri).
This picture postcard stone house is as stunning inside as it looks from the outside. As befits a former farmhouse, the kitchen is sure to be a gathering point, with its contemporary good looks and all mod cons; sit at the island or on the quaint window seat to chat or plan over a cup or glass of something. Space shouldn’t be a problem as there’s a super comfortable lounge and a cosier snug if groups have different interests or anyone fancies some downtime. The decor throughout is neutral with occasional bold pops of colour or design, while furnishings are sleek giving it a sophisticated – and calming – feel. Watch any dogs and kids have a ball on the generous lawn as you enjoy a drink or a BBQ on the furnished terrace or a soak in the hot tub. Parking is no problem for four cars.
Set in the tranquil Bryncrug village, this detached stone property has wonderful views of the rolling, green landscape of this part of the national park. The seaside town of Tywyn is 3 miles away; with miles of golden sands, it is perfect to let off some steam or just sit and gaze out to sea. It’s dog-friendly in parts all year, just check for seasonal restrictions during your visit. Afterwards, you can catch a steam train from there on the historic Tal-y-Llyn Steam Railway, originally built in 1866 to carry slate, but now a tourist delight traversing the unspoilt landscape. Well-behaved dogs can even travel on their own ‘rover’ ticket!
