Take a moment to appreciate the space’s clever rustic-style decor before heading out to the outdoor kitchen cabin to rustle up some dinner for your loved ones. Alternatively, fire up the BBQ and gather everyone together to eat at the outdoor covered dining area. Afterwards, head to the fit pit to share stories under the stars. At the end of the day, each of the two pods offers a bedroom area with two single beds (please note the sleeping areas have restricted head height). In the morning, wake up to woodland views and step outside to find a 'his and hers' compost toilet, complemented by a cold-water shower and a charming wood-fired bathtub.

Alternatively, discover the atmospheric ruins of a 12th-century Augustinian Llanthony Priory (16.5 miles). Explore its ancient archways and enjoy a pint in the cellar bar, which was once used by the monks.

We had an amazing weekend at Fern wood. The setting is beautiful and the set up is perfect. The best place to unwind and get away from busy life. Loved the hammocks for lazing and reading in. The kids loved the games and doing the trail through the woods to the forest school. We were sad to leave!

Overall this a fabulous and peaceful place. Its just what we needed. I work in tech and long hours, so wanted to feel close to nature and away from the noise. The hideaway is amazing and the wider woodland is magical. Ill definitely return

A back to basics holiday with all the luxuries! You could rub sticks together to light your campfire and cook your dinner or just use the gas hob! You could wash in fresh spring water, or luxuriate in a hot bath! Fern Wood Hideaway was clean and comfortable and made for a magical holiday base. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Fern Wood Hideaway. It was a peaceful secluded spot in the woods and we enjoyed exploring the walks in the countryside. The Hobbit style pods were very cosy and the wood fired bath was a favourite feature. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

We all had an amazing time on our break . The accommodation and site was all that we had hoped for , and more. The hosts were very welcoming and easy to contact, if we needed anything. The setting was very quiet and relaxing . There's lots to do in the area too. I would highly recommended here to stay .
