Smart modern cabin on its own in the corner of a field near the river and just below the main road. Very comfortable for two, but would be a bit cramped for four. Loads of storage space. Patio outside with table for meals. Large sycamore alongside gives lots of shade to sit in on hot afternoons. Walking distance to pub along (not very busy) maRead morein road, mostly with grass verge. Helpful and friendly owner. Hide

Quiet, peaceful location. Thrilled to count about 25 different bird songs one morning.

We just had a lovely 7-night stay at the lodge and really enjoyed ourselves. The owner greeted us when we arrived, answering all our questions and the folder with local information was really useful too. The lodge was new and cleaned to a very high standard. Useful to have an airfryer so could get quick and easy meals whilst on holiday. Co-op and SRead morepar nearby stocked most things. We had a very comfortable stay, was so quiet and peaceful, could hear all kinds of animals at night! Was lovely to look out at the river and the kids loved to play throwing rocks and paddling. Beaches are fairly nearby and easily accessible, Dolgoch Falls and Labyrinth are worth a visit too. Fish & Chips in Machynlleth are yummy and good value. Hide
