A wonderfully quirky hideaway for two, this geodome is located in the village of Nolton in pretty Pembrokeshire, making it wonderful for a rural romantic trip. You’ll be within the dramatic and scenic St Brides Bay, with quiet lanes, rolling fields and the sound of the sea never too far away. The pretty coast path runs though the village, so it’s easy to access nearby spots like Nolton Haven (1.5 miles), a sheltered cove that’s a Marine Special Area of Conservation, on foot.
The geodome sits alongside four other similar glamping units. On arrival, step inside the dome to find an inviting open-plan space that brings lounging, dining, sleeping and cooking together under one curved roof. A plush sofa, cosy king-size bed and well-equipped kitchenette are all ready for you to cook, relax and sleep, all with gorgeous countryside views. Just outside the dome is your private shower room. The garden is all yours to enjoy, complete with outdoor dining furniture, a BBQ fire pit and uninterrupted vistas towards the Preseli Hills. Sink into the wood-fired hot tub as the sun sets, and in good weather, linger over a lazy outdoor breakfast. Private parking for one car is provided in the shared on-site car park.
When it’s time to explore, Little Haven Beach (3.5 miles) has lovely seaside pubs and great opportunities for wild swimming and paddleboarding. For eating out, shopping and cinema trips – plus a weekly farmers’ market by the river – the county town of Haverfordwest is only 6 miles away. Other locations to consider are St Davids (13.5 miles), the smallest city in Britain, and Marloes Sands (13.5 miles), where stunning seascapes and a wealth of wildlife await.
