A canvas-walled tent lodge set right on the River Wye, offering families and groups of five friends the ultimate glamping experience. Enjoy being off-grid and spend your time immersed in the natural surroundings of the Welsh countryside.
Accessed via an external staircase, this safari-style lodge is deceptively spacious and has everything you need for your trip. The open-plan living area is bright and airy and has a wood burner which you can fire up to keep the whole lodge toasty. Cook up simple meals in the kitchen area, which you can eat at the table adjacent to a wide window that overlooks the River Wye below. When you are ready to retreat to bed, pick from a king-size which is in the living area, or the bunk room, which contains a double bed on the bottom bunk with a single bed over the top. A little shower room with a WC completes the interior. The fabulous, enclosed balcony is fully covered so you can enjoy a morning coffee or al fresco dinners, whatever the weather. There is also a BBQ/fire pit so you can keep warm and toast marshmallows.
On site is a handy café so you can pick up coffee and cake, along with a play park for children and woodland areas to explore. Your nearest pub, shop, and restaurant are all 0.5 miles away in the bustling town of Hay-on-Wye. The famous literary town offers a range of quirky bookshops along with several independent shops selling trinkets. Take to the water on the River Wye on a kayak, paddleboard, or simply for some open water swimming, or head to the nearby Black Mountains (6 miles) for challenging hikes.
