Tucked amid idyllic Ceredigion countryside, this farm cottage offers a peaceful hideaway for families and friends in Mid Wales. Sleeping five guests in three bedrooms, this dog-friendly abode features cosy social spaces and a sweet garden overlooking the Ystwyth Valley. After days exploring the seaside resort of Aberystwyth and roaming trails along the Dyfi Valley, this is the ideal base to relax and unwind.

Inside, the cottage oozes original charm with exposed beams and a wood burner housed in a large stone inglenook fireplace, creating a snug focal point for the lounge. Plush seating and a Smart TV make this an inviting spot to relax at the end of each day. When tummies rumble, head into the farmhouse-style kitchen to cook up a storm with fresh, local produce, before gathering around the dining table to savour your creations. The ground floor also features a handy utility space along with an entrance to store boots and coats, and a fresh shower room. Upstairs, three bright bedrooms – a double, a twin and a king-size master room – offer a calm place to rest and recharge, alongside a stylish bathroom with a sloping ceiling that adds to the cottage charm. Outside, a pretty garden with patio furniture provides a lovely setting for a morning cuppa or al-fresco suppers while you soak up valley views. Ample private parking is available.

Enjoy quintessential seaside days in Aberystwyth (4.5 miles), strolling along the Victorian promenade and pier, browsing the shops, bars and eateries, and taking heritage trips on the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway and Vale of Rheidol Railway. Water sports abound at the long, sandy beach of Borth (10 miles), while the Ynyslas National Nature Reserve at the Dyfi estuary (12.5 miles) offers big-sky views and dune walks.
