Keen coastal adventures are perfectly placed for exploring the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. Llantwit Major Beach (7 miles) offers dramatic rock formations, and Monknash Beach (8.5 miles) is reached via the pretty fields and woodlands of a local nature reserve. Home to a seafront esplanade, soft sands and plenty of excellent cafés and restaurants, the bustling seaside town of Porthcawl can be reached within 12.5 miles. The vibrant city of Cardiff (15 miles) lies in the opposite direction, offering a more cosmopolitan appeal.
