  • Combines contemporary features with beautiful antique furniture and modern home comforts
  • Just a short stroll into the centre of historic Pembrokeshire and the coast
Property code: OC-85835

This quaint holiday home with water views is conveniently located near the centre of historic Pembroke, making it the perfect base for families or friends to explore everything that Pembrokeshire has to offer.

Step into a spacious tiled hallway with convenient storage space for coats and boots. To the left, you’ll find the lounge, furnished with two large sofas that provide comfortable seating around the Smart TV. Further down the hallway, you’ll discover an open-plan kitchen/diner offering spectacular views over Pembroke Castle and the mill pond. On the first floor, three bedrooms and a family bathroom await. The first bedroom is a king-size room that enjoys lovely views over the millpond. The second bedroom features a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into twin beds upon request). The third room is a bunk bedroom. The family bathroom and a utility cupboard complete the first floor. The lower floor of the house has been restored as part of the whole house, with a modern oak staircase down from the hallway. This features more living, dining space plus a king-size bedroom tucked away at the back – incredibly quiet and with a shower-room just next door.  There is an open plan living room, dining area and kitchen equipped with fridge/freezer, electric cooker and microwave. The  exit door of this area opens out onto a unenclosed area by the popular Watermans Arms pub and has access to the Millpond where you may catch a glimpse of nature. There are table and chairs for sitting out in the sunshine. While the main part of the building doesn’t have its own outdoor space, you can explore the walks around the mill pond or visit parks within a mile of the property.

Pembroke boasts a popular high street with a variety of independent shops, bars, and restaurants. If you have a penchant for history, pay a visit to the castle, the birthplace of Henry VII. The wonderful coastal path passes nearby, skirting around the Castle, and for a day at the seaside, Pembroke serves as an excellent base for exploring the many beautiful beaches. Freshwater East is less than 4 miles away, and Barafundle Bay, a must-see in Pembrokeshire, is within 5 miles of home.

Great house for 2 generations to stay in, with the basement as a bolthole for the grandparents! Well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. Fabulous views over the Mill Pond. Within easy walking distance of all Pembroke's attractions. We had a great day out at the castle.
