On the outskirts of Corwen, those with a nose for nature can explore the renowned Clocaenog Forest (9 miles) to spot glimpses of the rare red squirrel. Walk or cycle the trails from the town, including Pen Y Pigyn, and into the Berwyn Mountains or hop aboard the Llangollen Railway from Corwen to travel through the breathtaking Dee Valley.
