We had a lovely time at Garn Llech Barn, gathering for a family wedding. We loved the kitchen and plenty of room to sit around the big table together. Comfy beds, lovely views. Kitchen well equipped. We struggled a bit with access, bumpy tracks to get to the property and narrow lanes with few passing places, made a few problems getting in and out,Read more however if you were there for walks and relaxation it would be ideal. We had to go in and out a few times to pre and post wedding gatherings so found it easier to come and go via Blaenavon. This is our only criticism. Sunday lunch at the Goide and Cuckoo was the best wed ever had, and deserves a mention! Hide

I did send an email directly regarding shower tray flooding and some additional serving dishes in the kitchen for gatherings as the cottage sleeps 8. the grass could have been cleared on the front section as after cutting we walked grass through the cottage and this was a shame. we did rake it a bit ourselves but don't feel this was our job to do oRead moren holiday. I found dried up sausage pieces on the kitchen side along with scrabble egg residue on the large frying pan so a bit of a clean up required before i was able to relax, which was a shame as there was so much made of LUXURY Accommodation. However it is a beautiful setting, peaceful and exceptional walks from site, we loved the Kitchen table for coming together and socializing, excellent fridge/freezer space, more mugs would be helpful, and bowels for cereal/soup... over population of Glasses lol. Fantastic property with amazing views and location. Walks directly onto the hills behind on the Cambrian Way and a steep but worthwhile descent to The Goose and Cuckoo pub which is well worth it.

We were a group of 6 adults & 3 children and loved staying in this property. It has really nice views, it's isolated , very cosy and comfortable. It's important to take provisions as the driving up & down is a bit of a pain (especially in the winter and at night). The breakfast you can order from the company is plenty and worth it. Get your car reaRead moredy for the assault on the tyres. It is all worth it as you truly experience the calming effect of the countryside even when it is stormy ! Great! Hide

A lovely cottage in a lovely remote location. Please remember to take everything you need - Tesco do deliver! Great size for a family get away with long scenic walks around. Abergavenny market not far away on a Saturday, lovely town to walk around. Unfortunately, the house does have places of damp on the walls that needs looking at, including in beRead moredrooms which needs looking at, and the owners have been notified with photos taken of behind the sofa. Once damp is looked at I would recommend. Response from Holiday Cottages.co.uk: The owner has been made aware of the issue to take the required actions. Hide

Well equipped and nicely presented. We had a mix of weather during our short stay, bright days, rainy nights and outright storms, we felt protected and cosy in this spacious and comfortable cottage.

Comfortable cottage if a bit isolated, ideal for walkers as many routes from cottage, views are lovely and dark skies a treat, great for the dogs

Cottage was spacious and the view was breathtaking. Garden was enclosed but not secure all three of our dogs went through. Good for bigger dogs but not for small ones.
