Get away from it all on a digital detox in this picturesque bolthole in the heart of the Welsh countryside. The pair of shepherd huts are for your exclusive use, and are tucked away in a remote location within the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons). You’ll have a myriad of walks to explore from your front door, or simply sit in the private garden and admire the breathtaking views. For shopping and dining out, journey to Abergavenny, Brecon, or Hay-on-Wye, all of which are within 22 miles.

The accommodation is arranged across two idyllic, hand-crafted shepherd’s huts. The first hut is decorated in calming, pastel shades, and features a sumptuous double bed and armchairs arranged next to a cosy wood burner. The adjoining second hut is where you’ll find the fully-fitted kitchen, for rustling up tasty dinners for two, along with a cleverly designed shower room. Immediately outside the huts is a private garden, with outdoor furniture, panoramic views, and a firepit for romantic evenings under the stars. The surrounding 30 acres of land are a haven of tranquillity, with bluebell meadows in spring, picturesque walking trails, and friendly farm animals.

The pretty town of Crickhowell is 2.5 miles away and has a great range of pubs and coffee shops to refuel in after a long walk. You’ll find many interesting walks branching away from the town, heading deep into the magnificent Black Mountains. The bustling town of Abergavenny (6 miles) is also well worth a visit, particularly if you want to try some of the local fare. You’ll find many independent restaurants, as well as regular farmers’ markets showcasing delicious local produce. For water sports enthusiasts, a visit to Llangorse Lake (13 miles) is a must, where you can hire canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards.

We absolutely loved staying at Bluebell Shepherds Huts - they were in such a beautiful, peaceful location. We spent the evening reading in the hammock, watching the sunset, stargazing and then waking up to incredible views. Having two huts was fantastic, plenty of space, really comfortable and everything you needed (apart from a plug socket, not a Read moreproblem but just worth knowing!) We cant wait to go back! Hide
