Welcoming up to 22 guests, this expansive farmhouse in the heart of Brecon Beacons National Park promises an unforgettable family holiday or a reunion with friends. Spend the day exploring the surrounding countryside, then return home to enjoy wonderful original features, crackling wood burners, a games room and the far-reaching rural views on offer at this warm and welcoming cottage.

Dating back to 1620, the property exudes charm and character, boasting exposed stone walls and oak beams throughout. The large, open-plan kitchen is a culinary haven, with a range-style oven and a slate-topped island, inviting guests to cook special meals together. Gather around the super-sized dining room table, comfortably seating all guests, then retreat to the inviting beamed lounge, featuring an inglenook fireplace and wood burner, perfect for cosy evenings in. Alternatively, venture into the converted barn, offering a second lounge/diner, an additional kitchen, and a conservatory where you can unwind and soak in the views. When it's time to retire for the night, nine bedrooms await, with five located in the farmhouse – a family room with a king-size bed and a single plus a cot, a double plus single, a double, a twin with single beds, and a room with three single beds. In the barn, you'll find two double bedrooms, a twin with single beds, and a room with four single beds. Outside, a BBQ and outdoor seating allow you to dine alfresco while soaking in the valley views. Younger guests will delight in the play area, while the games room offers endless entertainment.

Located at the upper end of the Swansea Valley, 3 miles from the charming village shops and pubs of Sennybridge and Defynnog, admire fabulous views of the wooded river valley and surrounding hills with endless opportunities for walking and mountain biking right from your doorstep. Embark on adventures to explore the beautiful Heol Senni Valley, conquer the majestic Pen-y-Fan (6 miles), or discover the rugged beauty of the Black Mountain (10 miles). For a day at the coast, the vibrant city of Swansea and the idyllic Gower Peninsula are 27 miles from home.

  • Towels are NOT provided
  • 2 kitchens – 1 with Redfyre four-oven oil-fired range with four burner gas hob, large fridge, microwave, large freezer, dishwasher. In the Barn kitchen; electric range oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and Panasonic bread maker
  • A separate utility room houses a washing machine and 2 tumble dryers
  • 2 wood burners, logs supplied
  • 2 sitting rooms, both with Smart TV and DVD
  • Some rooms are presented on different levels accessed by steps/stairs so may not suit those with limited mobility
  • Low beam on entry to the attic room
  • Cots, highchairs and stairgates available
  • Mobile reception is variable in the area (wi-fi calling possible if your phone permits) and a pay phone is available
  • Garden is not fully enclosed so please do not exercise dogs outside of the garden
  • Storage for mountain bikes if needed

the house and barn were great for our group of 15 and 2 dogs. the kitchens and cooking facilities were excellent and we had some lovely meals in the dining room. We all enjoyed the games in the barn, particularly the table tennis. We had a brilliant stay for my husband's 50th birthday, We were a mixed group of 15 people ranging from 2 years old to 75 years! The house is huge with so many lovely spaces to enjoy so we could really spread out. The trampoline and table tennis were particular hits. The open fires were lovely and the views were stunning. We loved the views and location; nice early morning walks possible from behind farmhouse were a bonus. Enjoyed a family game of ping pong too and used wood burner daily which was lovely. Big lounge perfect for our party of 16 to socialise before and after dinner in dining area in old farmhouse. What a beautiful place in a breathtaking location. Our family loved the farmhouse with all the traditional features and the games barn was a real bonus. There is plenty of room which means no one gets on top of each other. I loved watching all the wild birds on the feeders outside my window and we saw a hedgehog and tiny rabbits too. The house is wonderful. So much space including a perfectly arranged dining room. Our children loved playing safely outside. The local paths were perfect for short early morning and evening walks. At the end of week everyone said they would like to come back again.

We had an amazing time staying at this quaint cottage with a large group of- the house is incredibly well stocked and comes with everything you will need for a holiday. The location is amazing with trails on your doorstop. One thing to note is that the wifi is not that strong in the house so not ideal for anyone wanting to do work but this didnt imRead morepact us. Loved the farmhouse and barn & having them both for our large family group was perfect. Rooms felt cosy & comfortable yet big enough for us all to eat/play/chill together. Never been somewhere with such well equipped kitchens. Being able to walk straight onto footpaths from the property was perfect especially with the dogs. We had a great week in this amazing house. Plenty of room for big families with two lounges and two kitchens. The rooms/beds were comfortable and we all slept really well. The kitchens were well equipped with everything we needed to cook for 14 people! We loved the rural location and enjoyed watching the birds every morning. As a multigenerational large family group we absolutely loved our stay at Llwynin Farm. The size of the accommodation and varied bedrooms and living spaces was perfect. The location and immediate surroundings were perfect. Lots of things to do in the area . We would recommend it for large family groups. Idyllic.
