Perfect for two, this idyllic stone cottage located next to the Kenfig Nature Reserve is a perfect base for those looking to get away and enjoy peace and quiet. Having been thoughtfully restored, retaining much of the property’s original charm in the form of exposed beams and stone walls, blended with modern updates to ensure you have everything you need during your stay, a break here is sure to be one to remember. Days out on the coast are also within easy reach, with Sker Beach just a mile away offering access to the Wales Coast Path for invigorating walks.

The open-plan living room/kitchen/diner welcomes you with its rustic charm, featuring exposed stone walls and beams across the ceilings. Filled with warm hues of wood, you’ll feel instantly at home, with plenty of places to sit from the sofa to the dining table. When it’s time to prepare a meal, you’ll find everything you need in the kitchen with pretty views out into the garden to enjoy whilst you cook. The bedroom is cosy with a comfortable double bed and matching furniture with plenty of space for you to unpack your belongings and settle in. Finally, you’ll find the modern bathroom off the bedroom with a rainfall shower head. Lovely cosy cottage, good location. Comfy bed and nice bathroom, reasonably well equipped kitchen. We brought home cooked meals with us for ease and visited both local pubs, which were very nice.

Had a great week here - second visit & would happily come back. Enjoyed exploring the area again, and the cottage is very comfortable with great facilities - washing machine very useful after some wet walks! Thank you!

The cottage is well maintained and spotless. The hosts are lovely and helpful. We had the break we were looking for some where to relax and unwind with lots of things to do withing a short journey. We are hoping to go back again.

For us, the cottage is in a good position for visiting local family and also the coast and surrounding areas. All amenities are to hand. Easy parking. Lovely little sunny garden which we found was quite sheltered from any wind.

The cottage is full of character, very well equipped and comfortable. Located right next to Kenfig Nature Reserve and about 200 mtrs from the Angel Inn which serves great food and drink. The location is good for both trips to Cardiff, Swansea and beyond. The owners, Helen and Steve are very welcoming.

The cottage was lovely! We could not have asked for a better place to stay. There were so many lovely places within a half an hour drive! Disappointed with the nearby pub, but, within a five minute walk was the Prince of Wales pub which served amazing food in a great atmosphere! Rustic and well appointed cottage, Ideal spot for proximity to places we wanted to visit. Owners very pleasant and helpful and informative. The area holds many historical interests; plenty of walks, plus places to eat. Ideal for older people like us with mobility issues.

the cottage itself was in a good area with plenty to do. It was cosy and warm and was well equipped and lovely to come back to at the end of the day. We loved all the antiques ie the Victorian dolls pram, sewing machine etc and the old washer in the lounge. Although we bumped in to the owners very briefly by chance, it would have been nice if they Read morehad introduced themselves and perhaps given us the key and showed us around.
