It’s time to take a luxurious break in this stunning 5-star holiday home in North Wales. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms and even catering for a four-legged friend downstairs, this detached cottage has everything you need to have a memorable stay. Stoke the BBQ whilst other guests are relaxing in the hot tub or explore the offerings of Offa’s Dyke nearby.

One look at this extravagant abode and you’ll know you made the right decision. The garden alone is spectacular, a huge expanse of grass that leads down to the river where you can partake in salmon fishing. There’s a beautiful dining area on the paved patio, where you can roast your dinners on the charcoal BBQ, and just to top things off, you’ll have your very own hot tub too. Inside is just as mesmerising with exposed beams, underfloor heating and breathtaking views from every window. Step into the hall and find the kitchen nearby. With a large island for cooking or socialising, you’ll find it a breeze when spending time in here. Serve up at the dining table which has been thoughtfully placed by the feature doors which open up onto the patio, giving you views and light winds. When you’re finished here, move into the dual-aspect lounge which has an exposed brick inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner. Settle on the comfortable furniture and watch a film with your loved ones. Leave the dog downstairs and explore the first floor where the library landing invites you to read a good book. The bedrooms comprise an en-suite super-king-size, two en-suite king-size rooms, and an en-suite twin zip-and-link (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request).

Leave the house and spend some time fishing in the River Ceiriog. If you’re unsuccessful, head one meal to Chirk and pay for a fish supper – there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants here. Just 6 miles away, you’ll find Oswestry which has a golf course, or Ellesmere which has a pretty lake.

Just back from a very happy and comfortable week at Lambourne House. What a great find! Beautiful, spacious house, very well equipped and with high quality fixtures and fittings that made our holiday feel extra special. Spacious bedrooms and plentiful bathrooms were a huge plus. We loved cooking and eating together in the fabulous kitchen-diner, thRead moree outdoor space was very comfortably furnished too, and the reading nooks up on the landing were well used! We enjoyed exploring the area - Chester for the day was a highlight, as was Chirk Castle and LLangollen - but the major selling point of this property for us was the remote location and beautiful surroundings, the peace and quiet were wonderful and the hot tub an essential part of the fun! All in all, a holiday memorable for all the right reasons! Highly recommended. Hide

We had a really excellent stay at Lambourne House. It was very clean and tidy. Towels, bathrobes for the hot tub were supplied. 2 dishwashers was great for 8 of us and 3 ovens. Plenty of seating inside and out.

Lambourne House is an exceptionally lovely place to stay. It is extremely well equipped, beautifully furnished, very comfortable and sparklingly clean. Its position in the midst of farming country adds to its charm. We highly recommend it if you want a peaceful, luxurious stay.

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious house in a fabulous setting. The view from the house is picturesque with lovely country walks on your doorstep. Lots to see and visit locally. Then relax in the hot tub at the end of the day. We had a perfect family holiday with a 15month old included so used the travel cot & highchair provided.

Lovely house, really enjoyed our weekend booked for a friends 60th birthday. Cooked several meals in, fantastic kitchen, very well equipped and a joy to use. House was lovely and warm and we all felt at home immediately. Nice setting, rural but close to the town. Fiona was very helpful, thank you.

In a perfect position to explore this area. Lots of national properties nearby and places to walk. We hired a canal boat for a day which was brilliant. Lots of lovely towns nearby to explore. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed. It was so good to cook an evening meal and sit round the table to eat and then play board games. TheRead more beds were some of the comfiest that weve slept on. Overall it was a 5* house and in the summer the outside is perfect to bbq and relax Hide
